just because it arrives with eBay doesn’t mean that they might try and push the old ‘that dent was on the frame when it arrived…’

Be aware that often ebays shipping agent will repack items to reduce shipping cost and package size.

this certainly happens in transatlantic shipping I only mention this as a incorrectly packaged frame is susceptible to damage.

if you do it take loads of pre and post packing so if there’s an issue on delivery you can prove that ebays agent has repacked and at fault.

id not use a suction removal of oil, use good quality fully synthetic oil & filter & change more often.

If I have this right then they have approached you to go permanent so, I’d be looking to find out what market rate was for that position and if that was suitable I’d ask for just that, market rate.
If they came in below the figure I’d have a conversation about the discrepancy between what they believe to be market rate and your understanding of it plus the impact of both figures to your current income, if we couldn’t get to agreeable terms then I’d remain contracting.
