To balance things out, I’ve had nothing but good service from them. Often buy clothing from their site using paypal and if it doesn’t fit I’ll take it back to their store in Edinburgh. The staff always take back the return with no hassle. Great!!

My dad has a v70 which he uses to cruise up to aberdeen weekly. He loves it. Most comfiest seats ever, uber quiet inside and an all around beast.

Build one. Purchase all the components and put it together your self. It’s very fun and you learn your PC inside out. I did it 4 years ago, spent 500/600 quid on it and got a very good spec which is still going strong.

Got the ring fitted Friday. Can confirm the required bolts for the 30t is 8.5mm. This is good because they are used on a standard triple crankset! So I can send those bolts back and save a tenner!

The ring look lovely and going 1×10 has reduced the clutter significantly.

Ive just found the compatibility chart for the 30t ring and it says the required size is 8.5mm and the ones i ordered are 6mm. Oops. Looks like they will be sent back.

Cheers lads. Only ridden the kona tanuki at the moment in 17in, felt a little cramped up, 18in would of be better. All the rest i would have to purchase online as there are no dealers near me.

It also appears they don’t make the factor r in 26in variant this year anyway so I really couldn’t get a test ride haha!

I’ve just beed looking at last years models for the main reason is that it’s so much more cost effective, especially since I’m a teenager!

I got the 6.3 when I first got into mountain biking and didn’t know what to look for. All in all getting that bike was a waste of money because the parts on it are poor especially the suspension, I later upgraded every part slowly and put it all on a hardtail frame bought after.

Defo get a hardtail at that price.

MaxBikesPR on twitter state the RRP of the 901 is £1100 which seems very good since this years now boast 650b wheels, ardent tyres and internal cable routing.

Is that the rockshox pike on the 905?

I’ve been looking at the 901 for some time now and really like it. Is it worth waiting for the new model or getting this years with discount when it comes out? Ahhhhh decisionsss

Thanks a lot chaps. Just been out for a spin and it feels amazing!

“I assume that you have ridden a fair bit on the road as a cyclist?”
Yes this is correct and I think it put me at a slight advantage as like you said I understood the road system.

    Thanks again for kind words

We went on Saturday and it was very busy. Tried out 6 different bikes and my fav was the Trek fuel, didn’t like the genesis bikes very much.. We stayed over night at the wigwams with the intention of going again the next day but with a night of being constantly awoken by gale force winds and waking up to torrential rain on Sunday, we sacked it and went home.

Thanks for that rocketdog. I think ill just get them from rose bikes even though originally i said i wouldn’t. I might as well learn how to swap the hoses anyway eh.

I like the idea of buying the groupset then selling the rest on but it might take a while to completely sell everything.

    Cheers guys
