Anytune is also available on Windows.

OP – I use anytune on iPad and Mac to play along to and learn songs on guitar. You can slow down, shift pitch, loop, loop and increase speed on next integration etc.

    It’s Awesome.

Get some calipers and use this site:
    http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/how-to-measure-your-body-fat.html

It won’t be 100% accurate but is way better than the chart and as long as your readings are relative to you and averaged, it will give a good indication.

    I use one of these:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00142K2A6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00

Thought about buying a chainsaw but using a hand saw is more fun.

You can also use it to safely cut at any height and not have to worry about going too low

Edit – this looks good too

We get the same with our dog OP. He’s just turned a year old and is a decent size and filling out. The breeder said not to and that it wasn’t the behavioural silver bullet it’s made out to be and to instead focus on training etc.
Ours has a lovely temperament and I don’t see a need to chop his nuts off at the mo.

Speaking to the vet, they are in favour as it prevents a number of diseases etc. My view on that is that of we don’t do it for humans, why do it to the dog? I’m not convinced so am watching this thread with interest.

Maybe as an owner of testicles I have too much empathy :D

I’ve got a Howies ventile coat bought a couple of years ago. I think it’s single layer as the weight really isn’t an issue. It’s this one http://www.howies.co.uk/airman-olive.html

I really, really like it and wear it daily to walk the dog as well as all the usual things. I’ve even been known to wear it to work (after removing dog treats, slobber and mud). No signs of wear or issues yet.

I’ve been out in it when it has been pissing down for around an hour and I wasn’t noticbly wet inside. I was warm and had been sweating. My waterproof Altura trousers were failing by this point and I had wet thighs.

I think they’re waterproof enough for most activities and very civilised in terms of breathability etc.

Depends what you what it for.

Hellz – look for guitar pro tabs. I still use guitar pro daily.

Another site to look at that isn’t mentioned is licklibrary.

For rock/metal, the Troy stetina books are good

Justin is good. Lessons with a good teacher will be better.

None of it matters though if you don’t practice. Resolve today to practice and play for at least 5 mins a day or save your time and cash now. More time is obviously better but it’s the consistent daily practice that will get you to the stage of playing (well) the songs you like.

Another DFS sofa here. Leather, bought 15 years ago and has survived moves and kids. Bit saggy now as you’d expect (not too bad thought) but couldn’t fault it. It wasn’t one of their cheap ones though.

Will replace in the next couple of years as the kids are older etc but will still keep the old one and use in other rooms.

    I’ve got one of these

It’s been up about a year and is adjustable (3 settings).

My experience with run flats is also positive. No issues with road noise or ride comfort. The only downside is that they shouldn’t be repaired when you do get a flat.

I’d much rather have run flats than gunk and also prob a spare wheel. Wouldn’t want my wife to feel she needed to pull over and repair/change wheel when out late etc…..

………..Let be honest, I’d not want to do it either ;)

    Run flats are great!

Husky 135/236 or stihl ms170/180 are worth a look if petrol. The 135 is on my shortlist. I’ve not owned any of them, these are just the standard homeowner saws from two respected manufacturers

If just for what you intend using it for then I’d recommend electric (I’m using an Argos Xtreme job and it’s great but need to be free from the cable now).

I can recommend black and decker one. I used to borrow one for clearing up hedge currents and it’d suck up and mulch beech no probs. Didn’t use it as a blower though and was under £100

    Slight high jack/
However, I’ve now got a much bigger garden so am watching with interest on the petrol blower/vac recommendations. Raking is OK until it gets to pulling stuff out of borders and then it’s just becomes too time consuming. Plenty of other stuff to do that requires lots of effort before I get berated for oxygen thievery ;)

Has anyone got a stihl sh86? Or equivalent?

Looking at the vid davidtalyforth posted its amazing how well they’ve developed. Depending on whether you’re a maiden fan at a particular time point (like the Paul fans) or whether you like all their stuff, their latest album is really very good.

I’ll leave this one here for the Di’Anno fans:

I’m a huge fan to all their stuff and really enjoy old and new. They were great and still are IMO

Did I miss the bit where you mention the tuning you’re after?

If it’s moar brootz you need, buy an ERG (7 or 8, there are more tabs for 7 than 8 though).

I use 10-52 for drop c on a 25.5 scale guitar and it feels and sounds spot on.

Realistically, unless you think you’d play a baritone or erg loads, I’d just buy another guitar with a fixed bridge and down tune.

Some shrubs (boxwood) can give off a similar smell. Are you sure it’s the lawn?

Ooo as SBK has been mentioned I’m going to work on the assumption that you’ve also used on brambles?

What’s the best approach? Cut them back and target the new shoots in the spring or will it be effective this time of year?

We’re talking head height so will need som chopping as I don’t fancy waving a water can filled with poison at head height.

Also, does the recc dosage on the box work or shoul I double it?

Also have elder and bindweed to deal with as well…

Sounds like a 50% pollard may be in order. It’ll look a bit buggered for a couple of years but will bounce back.

You can pollard less.. Tree dude will advise. Should be around £400 I’d have thought depending on location and access.

Have a feel of em in the store (oo er). I’ve just got a standard 6 and its massive compared to the 4s in replaced. Hate the location of the sleep button and hoping I’ll get used to it.

It makes sense. I won’t use my iPad for work as I have an MBA and 6 for that.

Regarding the inflammatory bit. If you’re caught slagging off your employer on social media you’re in breach of your HR policy regardless of device. Plenty of muppets get the chop these days through slagging off colleagues or bosses on FB.

MDM policy reading is quite an eye opener. Reading how your employer will implement it is the important bit. Checking my phone, location is dis and no vpn running so they can’t see photos or read imsg. Having said that, as its a corp device I don’t do anything with it that would cause me, the company or my family any level of discomfort.

Back on topic though. I really wouldn’t use my iPad for work especially if it need MDM but this is more of a keeping work and fun separate thing.

I’d wait a month or two though as the next wave of idevices will be launched very soon

    CaptainSlow

Outside the edit window but just to add….

Have you read your IT policy on MDM? In it you should see exactly what they will be tracking and what features they intend to enable.
Also worth bearing in mind the sandbox nature of apple means there are limits to what MDM can see on your device (unless forced through their VPN).

Either way as with any employer provided device if you’re doing anything on it or with it that would cause you or your mum embarrassment you are likely in breach of their policy.

HTH (unless you are using MDM as justification with your wife to buy a new toy in which case carry on ;))

Have you read the MDM T&Cs?

Is it possible you are over reacting?

Fair comment on iCloud. I find it really annoying they have the temerity to dictate how to use their service. Why can’t it just be like drop box but better? Why would they not want to do that….

Stability wise, OS X is slightly less stable than W7 IME.

Apple do a lot right but they could do so much better.

Is anyone running theirs with no additional AV?

As I understand it, w10 comes with the next iteration of MSE and should not need it (unless you undertake risky Internet activites such as dwarf goat pron and dodgy torrents etc)
