Ooh spotify free on mobile you say?

…Now deciding whether I can cope with the ads again…

A folder per customer. Small number of sub folders and search.

I mostly do this for archiving purposes as search tools are much better these days.

I still need to archive to a pst/local folder approx once every 6 months as our o365 setup auto-deletes after a certain number of mails/age.

    I also archive sent mails.

Guitarguitar.co.uk had a squire strat on sale for £80 the other day, that may be worth a look.

But before all that, tell us what it is you want to gain from learning what styles are of interest? Where are you located?

I would encourage you to pickup the guitar for 15 mins everyday for structured practice. You will progress further like this than in 1 90min session per week. If you can do more tha 15 min great!
Whatever you do, keep it structured, there’s a difference between playing and practice :)
The best advice I can give you is to find a local teacher and get lessons. You can learn on your own but it’s easier to learn with someone.
If you absolutely can’t do that, justinguitar.com is one of the best sites I’ve seen.

    Good luck, and enjoy.

I bought one of the kids when they first came out.

They like it; depends what games your folks are into and whether they still want to play the old games/use the old accessories.

I’ve been using alfred for a few weeks now to open apps, files and do basic sys commands.

What else can I use it for? Is the power pack good vfm? What could i use it for?

Its one of those apps I didn’t realise I needed…

    Seriously?

My Ultragrip 8s have been fantastic from the start – and its been mostly 7-10 degrees. Its only recently been <7 degrees.

They were a revelation last year in snow too…and better than my summer tyres <10 and <10 + wet. I only thought about my summer tyres again at about 15-18deg

I think you picked the wrong tyres – they shouldn’t be worse than summers tyres*

*Disclaimer – my summer tyres are still the factory fitted Michelin Energy which are rubbish as soon as it starts to cool down

Too many long posts here so I’m invoking I struggle with long sentences and saying Stoner +1

The rounding on the reader swingarm towards the front and the straight top tube put the bike 03-06 ish I think. From 07 they bent the top tube. HA is 70 on that bike with a max 140 fork.

I had a 00 sub five, then a 2006 Five. The earlier 5s had a squarer swingarm without machined dropouts iirc. They were the noticeable changes. After that every year or so they tweeked the geometry and shaved off a bit of weight.

Then after 07 they started going the other way, focusing on strength and making the bike more gnar-core

Should take at least 2.35 with room to spare. I had kenda small block 8s on mine which are fairly generous in their sizing.

Give orange a call they’ll know..

For this time of year you want a skinny set of muds – bounty mud x is my fave.

Running on my 2012 MBP (non-retina)
I like what they did to file browsing, not sure I’m seeing any other benefit.

    Skype crashes
My MBP crashes when coming out of sleep mode
    FF crashes
Maybe a little more basket ball of doom than before?

Overall, my W7 PC is more stable, yet still I want to replace it with a Mac. I am truly suckered…

IF we’ve moved onto amps, I’ve owned and tried a few modellers. My vote goes to the Roland Cube range – checkout the 15 or 20, its about £150 new. Sounds very good for what it is.

I wouldn’t bother with a pocket pod, playing with headphones isn’t much fun and the pocket pod is starting to sound very dated. (pocket pod owner (must ebay it)).

What sort of playing floats your boat?

What sort of next profile do you like? skinny – like an ibanez wizard or something to hold onto like a gibson 50s neck?
What scale length do you prefer?

Was your previous guitar similar to this one – http://www.epiphone.com/Products/SG/G-400-PRO.aspx?

Did you like it a lot?

I’d recommend 2nd hand, scour the forum classified.

If you let us know what your after, we may even be able to throw some links at you but need to know what your looking for in a guitar…

Edit – and your approx location..

Its alright recommending yammys n squires etc but his old guitar was 24.75 and he may want to stay with that scale

I don’t race but carry them as they take up less space and are a quick fix. Running tubeless means they don’t get used much…

The EA is there on behalf of the vendor to get every last penny they can from you. Unless the vendor needs to move they’ll be happy to leave you playing silly buggers.
Best advice is offer what it is worth to you and that way if you don’t get it, you won’t be disappointed. Would you rather pay a few K more for a house you love or a few K less for something you like?

We’re going through to process ourselves. It seems easy enough to sell but by jiggers buying is proving a challenge due to the lack of supply

Edit – forgot to add – I think that’s one of the tools they use in order to get as much as they can (exaggerate the demand for a property)

Don’t be pressured into completing. Your previous offer was based on what you knew then. At the very least revise your offer.
Personally, I’d be considering pulling out – it’ll be hard shifting a hard to shift house in future years let alone one that you’ve paid over the odds on (due to the know known issue).

You don’t say where in Kent but if you venture further south and East along the high speed link, houses get cheaper and there’s some great riding around Folkestone/Ashford/canterbury area, lots of woodland and the bottom end of the North Downs.
There’s lots of other organised rides with shops n clubs n wot not too.

Thanks folks – I’ve been wfh for many years now but with the kids growing I need to move out :)

A home should be a home first and an office second. I’ve been looking at these chaps with interest – http://www.oecogardenrooms.co.uk/garden-offices.html would probably want the additional sound insulation (panels and glass).

‘Mine go on the existing alloys. ‘

I have a spare set of alloys with M+S fitted so that I dont have to pay local tyre fitters to swap the tyres twice a year (but if I am feeling lazy I do pay them to swap the wheels over instead of doing it myself)…

It doesn’t cost me more than a beer. I may consider a second set of wheels in the future if that were to change.

Unless you’re seriously hard up I dunno why ppl need to justify them. If you’re riding a decent bike you’ve summer and winter tyres on that so why not same for the car.
the difference is the same and it doesn’t have to be snowy or that cold to feel a difference. Excluding cost of wheels or changing tyres it costs no more long term as you’re spreading the wear over 2 sets.

I fit winter tyres in Oct ish – as soon as the weather starts getting toward low double digits to singles.

To the original question, yes, they make a huge difference in the snow. The main obstacle to you will be other road users who haven’t fitted them.

As others say they make a difference also when the road is cold and not snow covered. If you can afford a nice car it’s silly not to fit them really.

Mine go on the existing alloys.

@ captain slow – yes. The skirting is original and would have made a mess of the plaster to remove as its nailed and screwed on (we’ve just had it skimmed) so we chose a white scotia to compliment the Victorian “shapes” at the top of the skirting.

Perhaps not perfection in flooring terms, but it’s turned out ok. We’ll be painting it and the skirting together to give it the complete “is one” look.

I don’t normally like beading but that looks pretty darn good. Gives me something to consider but it’d be a new build so not having the fancy skirting of a victorian house.

    CaptainSlow

Is that beading on the sides?

    Where are you Danny ?

I think one of those near me flies out of lydd and takes in a chunk of the kent coast and possibly the the estuary. They do a spitfire or hurricane.

I mostly see it with heli’s, even as a local I’d travel to duxford or elsewhere to fly alongside in a plane. Heli’s are ok but I’m sure the noise and the fact that its a heli will significantly change the experience.

You’ve got me looking now and the tiger moth tour is looking good :D
