OP – the Miele dishwasher you are looking at is the one I replaced out Bosch Excel with. It’s quieter and does a better job of cleaning that the old one.
Had it less than a year but am very happy with it.

Perhaps they’ve improved the apps to counter the squeal, its been a few years since I’ve used one now but had an amp kit interface.

Gav – What about the pocket pod? What headphones are you using?

Why do you want one other than fancying it? There are better options.

It’s personal preference but I find playing with headphones to be very fatiguing. I get a decent tone dialled in that I’m happy with and then start to hate it after 10mins so end up wasting time faffing.

I’d rather use a Roland Cube etc if I was on a budget or after something small etc

If you use an interface that uses the headphone socket, you will become familiar with a chap called Larsen and something that manifests itself as a high pitched squeal. Utter shit. Avoid.

Get an apogee jam and an app called bias and jam up..

Logic or Reaper get my vote.

Or you could look at pro tools and enjoy owning the 11R that comes with it ;)

The scrap between the French resident and the forest dweller took the shine off it for me a couple of years back, be about right if another scrap kills it right off.

    +1

But mike D leaving was probably the final nail. Oh and perhaps the continuous facelifting.

With the lack of use I very much doubt that the forum was worth the hassle in the end.

Contact bbka to find a local keeper who will gladly help you out.

We had a swarm in the garden a couple of years back, fantastic sight but they could not be left where they were so they were rehomed by the local bee keeper.

Been using them on 6700s for about a year now. No issues to report so far and like being able to run a softer tyre.

It’s not that hard to do yourself and it’s not in a noticeable area if you’re not as good with a spray can as you are with photoshop.
It’s been a while since I’ve done it but the order (interspersed with liberal profanity) is roughly

    Sand it right down
Treat it with cure rust (or whatever it’s called)
    Fill it
Sand it (using wet n dry)
    Primer
    Spray paint
    Lacquer

Someone a bit arty like you will find it a doddle.

Getting a pro job done on that wouldn’t be the best way to spend £500. Hookers, coke and taxi would be better ;)

Miele are well worth the extra IMO. You don’t need one with all the bells and whistles. Have a look around, occasionally they can be had for £5-600. Cheapest I can see at the mo is this one – http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/household-appliances/laundry-dishwashers/washing-machines/miele-w3164-edition-111-washing-machine-white-21307841-pdt.html

Mines about 5 y/o now (cost £550). Parents is 18 y/o and has had one problem costing approx £200 fix. Quieter and generally more reliable.

    All of them :)

All their albums contain a gem or two at the very least imo.

Rather than pick one, I’ll pick one per studio album – done from memory so bear with me if I’ve got one wrong
    Phantom
    Killers
    Hallowed
    Where Eagles Dare
    ROTAM
    Wasted Years
    Infinite Dreams
    NPFTD
    Afraid to shoot strangers
    Lord of Flies
    Angel and Gambler
    Ghost of the Navigator
    DoD
    Lord of Light
    When the Wild Wind Blows

Hey smudger – if your roof faces the wrong way (East/west), is it generally speaking still worth the bother?

From what I’ve been able to calculate, I’d see approx 20-25% less return. However, I do work from home so could utilise day time leccy.

My understanding is patching and new cents are required. I don’t see how sticking an LB in front helps. Sure the LB depending on OpenSSL version itself may not be vulnerable but what’s behind it is.
Happy to be corrected by someone more geeky :)

Don’t see the point in changing passwords until it’s verified all aspects of the vulnerability are removed.

If you need to get into London move out along HS1. Better riding, cleaner air and the cash saved could offset the commute cost.

I know its annoying and an affront to your manliness but just pop it down the dealership – I think mine did it free or charged a tenner. I had the diesel sporty one – you’d have struggled even using chopsticks…

Are you and your partners friends as well?

You don’t need to tons in common all you need is a little respect for each other – which does involve not being too selfish. You should each have your own interests and goals but you may need to compromise on something’s a little.

Tbh your post reads a little like you’re scared. Perfectly natural.

I had the 928 set, where can I get the instructions from?

My folks kept hold of all my lego – I’ve a ton of technics (car with engine, diggers etc). Just waiting for my lad to be ready for it – I’ve the instructions for that but not the older stuff.

Captain slow, is that for all X3’s… not heard the term F25 before. They look good.

    POSTED 6 HOURS AGO # REPORT-POST

Nah, there’s an older variant (e-something) and bigger and smaller engines. Manual and auto etc. I test drove a few different 4x4s and estates and for me it checked all the boxes and was the nicest to drive. The numbers I quoted were from mine which is an auto.

Don’t forget to checkout Nissan, Toyota, Honda, Kia, hyundai and Merc etc as well.

    What about a BMW F25?

£140 VED for the 2.0D around 33mpg round town, much better on a run

You’ll be looking at about 33mpg round town but much better on the m’way. Tyres will be a about £230 a corner and expect 18K ish on them before replacing (if low pro).

Q5 shouldn’t be too far off the above – the perfect STW car ;)

A similar experience is what helped me choose this screen name ;)

It will get better in time. There are options but these are surgical and have been told by folk that have had them, it hurts a lot! It’s a last resort – google, talk to your gp, don’t suffer in silence ;)

A high fibre diet is essential and during an episode, lactulose is your friend (assuming you can take it). It will soften your poo which in combination with arse cream and suppositories will help manage them. Don’t sit on the toilet too long, don’t strain and eat a good diet.
Most folk will get anal grapes at some point, it’s nothing special ;)

We’re in agreement I think Binners, but the housing problem stems from the previous gvt too. The current shower don’t have an awful lot at their disposal. I would like to see HTB scrapped. It’s helping the north but not doing the south any favours. I think the cash would be better spent up north in industry, jobs and comms (like hs2)

Back on topic for the OP no.

Unless you need or want to downsize OP I’d wait until retirement and pick up a BTL ;)

So what’s with all the hate re the new pension changes?

Comrade Binners et al – do you think the state should dictate what you spend your savings/pension on?

I’m not a BTL er by the way but I am paying into my pension hence my desire for the state to **** off telling me what to spend it on.
