    @radoggair
    That was looking really good, but when u configure the xc group set you have to add 500€ for xx brakes or find some others.

    Nice photos. I say you make more time for the SLR!

    Hmm, well I’m in Australia, and assumed you guys could. But just checked and neither the fork or the two bikes it comes on; the carve SL, or the Stumpjumper Evo, are on the Specialized UK website. My bad. Guess I’ll have to check over on MTBR.

    Thanks all. Yes, I’m inclined also to think that it is probably filler/paint. It’s just the lack of real knowledge that concerns me, and that the warranty doesn’t apply to me. I think prev owner probably hadn’t noticed. As she was a member of her lbs race team she shouldn’t have had any problems with warranty if needed. Still waiting a response from her.

    Thanks again.

    did you buy this as a bike or a frame?
    bought it as a bike, received today, noticed before all wrapping came off. Very fine hairline continues nearly all the way around the seat stay.

    Where do you get those singletrack jerseys? They don’t seem to be in the shop…

    At 5’3″ I’m pretty short :P, I normally ride a trek fuel x8 but took out the specialized fate for a spin. It fit perfectly, handled great even though it is a girls bike. It could have been new bike syndrome or the fact it was maybe 4 kg lighter, but it was much faster. Very nice bike.

    My iPhone 4s doesn’t seem that fragile. Popped out of my handlebar mount twice while over 30 km/h bounced on across the road and got run over. 1st time no damage whatsoever, 2nd time a few tiny scratches on the glass. I have only minimal case that came with http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=61041 It hasn’t come off since the 2nd time months ago, now that I keep the suction cap properly clean.

    If under an hour, Pump, tyre lever, patch kit, in jersey pocket and drink bottle in frame. If much more than an hour, all in pack and water bladder, some extra food. Where i live, nearly always take at least one extra layer. Phone for strava and communication. Hope I don’t hurt myself too bad to use phone. Always tell someone planned route and expected timing.

    Those barely count as sideburns, let alone mutton chops, surely.

    Done, extended commute to and from work everyday. Totally knackered, most riding I’ve done in a week at 300 klms.

    I just got this, is it cheap? Nice and light and rolls into jersey pocket. Def go by their sizing chart, I normally take small but medium is fitted on me.

    I’ve always thought solo non stop round the world yacht racing the most extreme sport.
