Well, somewhere in between. 50-100k, maybe the odd 150k days. I want to be on the bike for several hours at a time. Maybe stop for a bit of MTB too?

what about a tall bike for a balanced 3 yo?

Around where I live you wouldn’t get much riding in if you don’t enjoy hills a bit. You’ve got hills that take 45 minutes to get up and then you’re down in 5!

I got about 12 months out of mine before the nds bearing went… 2500 ish kilometres, plent of wet rides, no servicing.

I’m not sure if it’s ok to ride a gia bike, but I do it anyway. I love my 15″fate!

I understood that they used to be able to run 10 or 11 speed. The shifter only told the mech to shift up or down. However, shimano ‘updated’ the firmware or software so that 10 speed shifters wouldn’t talk to 11 speed mechs.
    🙁

Thanks for that. Won’t be able to drop around though, as I live in tasmania :p
Wonder why it’s soo much slower, maybe the wheels? Or all down to geometry? That’s a fair bit slower. Not sure I want to lose that much speed, I’m coming from a specialized tarmac.
Maybe better to try for a cx bike then.

5’3″ 15.5 trek fuel ex8 26″ wheels, can’t quite get it to fit and feel as nice as my 15″ specialized fate 29″ hardtail.

Also what do you peeps do for shorts?
I can’t seem to find them small enough anymore:(

I hate how if you put something in the basket you get emails every 8 hrs saying that you forgot to buy it, or you load the basket up with stuff, then log in and the basket is empty. Totally annoying 🙁

My wife 4’11” and I 5’3″ really love our specialized fate 15″. No toe overlap, plenty of standover. It does have very short headtube and only 80mm forks, and 52mm fork offset.
Its a sweet climber and very capable descender. I’m only faster on the trek fuel ex8 on very long downhills.

I just went from 600mm to 720mm CB flatbars. Was horrible for first 2 rides. Moved brakes and shifters in further than I thought necessary, discovered I had the bars under rotated too much and now they’re totally fine. Maybe more adjustment?

Everyone knows the more suspension you have, the smaller your ‘bar’ is. That being said I didn’t know people weighed them…

Camelbak is your problem. Source bladder has much better valve and magnetic clip.
I’ve used this bladder 2-3 times a week for 2 years, never cleaned, don’t empty it or stick it in the freezer. I’ve only used water, but it still tastes perfectly fine.

Giant trance 29er, was a boat, a concrete boat. Also, it kept wanting to fold in half around the headtube.
