    That’s glorious.

1990 Mk2 Golf. ‘Entry-level classic’ that can still do the daily duties, cruise on the motorway and haul kids and bikes.
All that as well as being one of the greats when it comes to everyday car design IMHO. The late 80’s were a great era for well engineered German cars.

The old Swedish Brick is likely to be traded in for something smaller soon, and a MkII Golf is high on the list. First car was a MkII. Love them.

That Genge is a lad eh!

    Top megabantz lolz right?

Also, clapping your opponents off the pitch is just so lame, isn’t it? Far better to put your hands behind your back and act like a sulky child that didn’t get a sweetie.

A shame. He could, and should, be one of the best props England have produced in ages. However…

Not for the first time with this ref…

Ref called time on, game on.

Farrell could well have seen a card for the back chat as well. Which would have been hilarious.

Also, that LRZ video above, shades of Ieuan Evans absolutely smoking Rory Underwood in 93 (think it was 93)

They also give loads away to local organisations (charities/schools etc).

Their approach to their supply chain and overseas manufacturing facilities is exemplary. Good company, good people, good products.

If you’re relying on a visual inspection to assess the safe capacity of an electrical socket, can I have dibs on your bikes?

😁 Will have it checked properly!

Are you getting a charge point installed or just using 3 point socket for charging? Back in the day manufacturers would not warranty the 3 pin charges as they said they were only for occasional use, maybe this has changed now?

When new, the car had a 3 pin as the stock option, type 2 as an option. So, given they were supplied with 3 pin, I’d say it was approved!

    Useful points here, folks. Thanks.

We’ve got a rather industrial outdoor socket that looks sturdy as anything, but that’s a good point. Will check.

As above, has a three pin plugged cable, but not a plug-into-smug recharging point cable.

    (Used car, BTW.)

All well, ton, hope same for you and yours.

Saddle soap, as above, a good option.

    Maybe this, too. https://www.rmwilliams.com/uk/care-products-2/leather-conditioner/CC243LD01.html?lang=en_GB

They’ll still need a decent polish as well, mind you!

Bearings last some time, but not exceptional.

I’ve got a pair of ATAC DH that are still in regular use which are well over ten years old. Bearings untouched.

I have a pair of XC8 on my gnarmac bike which are the most used pedals of mine at the moment, all weather use, all terrain. They’re about six years old, again, bearings untouched.

Never even thought about servicing them. Never needed to.

    This is A Good Thing!

Will make it easier for me to continue my quasi-religious devotion to ATAC pedals!
