Thanks snaps. Good to have someone I met on the trails at Brechfa recommending it! Now, where’s that blurred pic of me you too?

Working cocker is top of my list at the moment, though I’m still not over the loss of my beloved spaniel in November yet really.

I actually picked up a new suit from Jermyn Street the other day, as it happens. Semi-bespoke (Off the peg then tweaked) for about £300. Excellent value.

Seiko would get my vote at that money, but maybe not that one! Great value, great watches. If you can stump up a little more, get an understated Omega.

Personally I’d far rather put on a jacket than throttle myself.

Get a shirt that fits properly then.

I’ve been in situations where I’ve felt both overdressed and underdressed (Jeez, haven’t we all) and I know which feels a hell of a lot more embarrassing.

Well put! (and, welcome back, old chap!)

WTF? £19? It may well be a “reasonable cut” but WTF is it made of? Binliner?

miketually, you would be instantly rejected from a very large number of jobs, so there’s no need to worry about if you want to work for them or not!

Well, the folks at Bike Brechfa couldn’t fit us in, but I’ve just had the most marvellously informative email with a load of other options to try (Including distances to pubs….)

What a top bunch! I shall definitely be making use of them in the future when I get a larger group down that way.

So, I shall join in and say that I also cannot recommend Bike Brechfa enough! Even though I’ve yet to stay with them! :-)

There’s some odl squishy bikes on Retrobike that are still going strong a long way in to their second decade (Think of some of the early Manitous and the like)

As others have said, a lot of it is down to the quality of manufacture in the frame, but a lot will also come down to the care and attention the bike receives, both when ridden and fettled. And dropped from the roof of a car, of course.

I can’t believe we’ve got this far before someone mentions quite how stunning the young ladies of Stockholm are…..

The Spitfire was surprisingly good on my last trip, odd to reccomend a “Pub” in Stockholm, but it was a really nice place for a beer. Birger Jarlsgatan, a bit further north. Nice and close to the Uni as well, IIRC, adding to the nice views.

If you tick the boxes and you are the best of the interviewees you will get the job.

Unless of course they’re down on their quotas of employees who are a differently abled, differently sexed, person of colour in which case you won’t.
