Am using a kingston at the moment so don’t think that can be the problem, assuming it is actually kingston

thanks countzero! Unfortunately it crashes occasionally hence needing to restart. The Node does the job, but it does a bit more than I need as it has the DAC in as well. Definitely an option if I cannot find anything cheaper

you mean buying a streaming system? I would but have quite a lot of expensive equipment I don’t want to waste

No, if the main circulation pump was off, the UFH would have no way of getting any heat. The UFH pump only circulates water from the manifold around the UFH, you still need to get the water from the boiler to the manifold. If the thermostat is on, it should signal the boiler to run and the pumps to start. It sounds like it is working correctly

lol! I try to finish any in a few months, after that it loses taste. I’d probably not want 41 year old coffee. Maybe it can go to a museum?

Looks legit, the stickers don’t stick to the matt anodising very well. As above though you won’t be able to sell it on, so you need to be confident you will stick with 26″ wheels FOREVER!

I don’t think there is a noticeable difference between 26 and 27 it’s more availability of forks etc, though I guess you can use 26″ wheels in 27 forks.

Some seem to have a machined head tube, some don’t.

swoosh you are correct you will ned to raise the floor as you need insulation and pipes above the slab. Electric will be very expensive to run

sounds dodgy. As above, the temperature of UFH should be below 50, normally below 45 flow. If it is hotter this could crack tiles due to expansion. Realistically you will only get something around 50w/m2 through the buildup, not very much and unlikely to be enough unless the building is very new. I would be tempted to get rid of it and get a towel radiator if you have the space.

I got a carbon CX bike a few months ago and love it, hydro discs make a big difference to my ride enjoyment compared to a road bike. It’s lighter than my ti road bike which cost 2x as much, and I enjoy the crosser a lot more. Much stiffer. I’d happily get rid of the road bike and ride with road tyres on the crosser

If anyone digs this up in the future. The only way I managed to get them up was to clean the inside of the tyre with isopropyl to get rid of any residue stopping the sealant sticking, then coating the inside with a layer of copydex, waiting for that to dry then installing as usual. Has stayed up for a week no problems now.

I don’t think they should call it easy.

Not been anywhere else but really enjoyed mani. You will need a car unless you cycle everywhere, which looked possible when I was there (September). Really good food, some nice beaches and mountains near Kardamyli. South of there gets more country but we’ll worth it for walks and stuff. We did some sea kayaking with explore messenia which I can highly recommend.

Any suggestions for actual frames? It’s a present for parents so needs to be easy to use and designed for the job.

Seen touching the void too, the book was better! But you can’t really read it after watching the film! I’ll have a look at the marathon one

I don’t think the op was after a gu10? Unlikely in a table lamp. Philips osram megaman all worth a look but you will be limited if you want it 1500 lumens. I’ve recently discovered calex which look great but not tested them for 25000hrs! They are reputable though so I think that should be a reasonable value

Seen all of those with the possible exception of strength in numbers. Will check it out. Something like ride the divide would be good.

Seasons i liked but it didn’t quite get to Roam status!

Thanks for the suggestion s so far

Trying 60, so maybe that’s blowing the sealant out, but how do road ones work?

    captaindanger

i can see the sealant (stans) coming out so I know where the holes are, and can shake until they stop but then they start again….

Seems to be a particular area of the tyre which is worse

Here’s another idea which I’ve been thinking about for a while. Lower c.o.g. Is better as it improves stability right? And currently limited in part by pedal strike? So shorter cranks, which appear to be accepted by those th at have tried them (including me) mean you can drop the bb without lowering the pedals. Would make no difference if you had your outside foot down, but with pedals flat you could have a 10mm lower bb if going from 175 to 165 cranks. Unfortunately I’ve already offset bush my bike so cannot drop mine any more….

Seems like I should give it a go. Ampthill their test rig looks a bit too ideal, though That does not explain the result…..

Ok another question, any benefit in running tubeless 40psi 1.6″ marathons?

    captaindanger

Why is that then? Tubeless road would be at higher pressures

Ok thanks guys, not had a go with the bearing puller yet but Molgrips my working pedal is a left, what’s yours? If right I would be very pleased to take it off your hands and happy to make a donation to charity or something

I think the bearing does need replacing. I have the superstar bearing puller but doubt there is enough purchase, I’ll give it a go

I love them but the swift is my preference for road bikes, b17 more for an upright tourer. If money is the issue look at spa cycles, I have their copy of the swallow on my rigid as commuter, by far the most comfortable saddles I’ve found. Gobi for mtb if that helps.

I have one. As most people have said, it works ok but can be a real pain in the arse when it doesn’t. For example the DLNA server has recently started only working intermittently, I can watch things on my TV by browsing to the files but not through the DLNA library. Odd.

I effing love the trails around les arcs, Bourg st Maurice is where to stay, I like the town, it is nothing special but loads of outdoor stuff in the area, and a nice pool. Less rouristy than morzine. There are great man made bike trails and the non mtb specific trails which is what most go for. If you want more man made go up to tignes, 40mins drive, which has my fave man made stuff anywhere. Funicular to Les arcs from Bourg takes 10 mins
