They don’t have a silver colour option it seems, which is a bit of an oversight! Needs to be polished silver

You do get 10ml of lubricant in a syringe, with a separate plunger!

This might be obvious but anything by John Outram is impressive IMO

PaulD, ahh thanks, I thought it probably was as I was pretty sure there wasn’t anywhere else like it, but it somewhow looks completely different to me on screen

I demo’ed one about a year ago, think it was organised by bikeradar. It wasn’t set up well (nuke-proof components and very wide bars) They have very old fashioned geometry and didn’t really excite me. Def try one before you buy. I also tried the ragley one and loved it.

nice, 2min-2:30ish, where is that? I was in the fast group and we didn’t do it afaik, but it looks brilliant!

Thanks Phil and PaulD for “trying to stay at the front” and killing everyone. Much fun.

I’m no expert, but I’ve taken a few apart. If air at pressure went into the lower legs that would probably pop the wiper seal, maybe one of the air seals failed? Taking air spring out is pretty easy, watch the SRAM videos on tube for it

“If it’s alu then it’ll probably corrode as well.”

Lots of bike companys make raw finished alu frames, inc. my Intense Spider, but it hasn’t corroded (not yet anyway). When/why does it corrode?

yeah, you can rag tatty bikes but you have to be careful going through mud on shiny bikes.

Any 7001 2rs would work as superdan said, simplybearings do loads but are a rip off, you can probably get them cheapst on ebay or something

Difficult without seeing it. If it’s been installed badly and not ventd properly, it’s possible that flushing toilets elsewhere will suck the water out of your traps upstairs. I think it’s quite likely that it may not be vented correctly. They may have used slatevents, which are made to look like a slate rather than having a pipe sticking through the roof. AAVs should be accessible as chickenman said, and they do fail. I think the only answer is to fit one or vent the thing properly through the roof.

torx could work, thanks. It was a crappy allen key, 1mm or something silly, don’t have a decent one of those

I’ve ha all o the above, the gaernes weren’t great but they were half the price of my sidis. The sidis are brilliant though, I won’t be buying any other makes again

Thanks, I already bought a job-lot of seals. I’ll take a punt on those nylon washers, only stand to lose a few quid if they don’t work (and a bit of oil)

Any reason why these wouldn’t work?

Depends how fast you are/want to look. Mince down with some goggles on and you won’t look too cool IMHO.

Try Megaman “Dimmerable” low energy bulbs, they work on almost all dimmers. Only drawback is you need to power them up on full for a few seconds before ramping down, otherwise they flicker a bit.

kind of agree with ap here, I’ve been on a few, great if the local club has enough volunteers to do one for free but most don’t so if someone wants to make a bit of money sorting out, signing a route, paying for a centre etc fair enough, it’s as valid a job as any out there. If you want to find your own way, do so. You ride against yourself, race if you don’t want to do that!
