A similar thing happened to me a few years back. I ordered 2 pair’s of new suit shoes from a premium shoe shop in London. After being messed about for 3 weeks I cancelled the order and got my refund. But 2 weeks later the shoes showed up on my doorstep, so I contacted the shop and told them that they could have them back if they organised a courier. They sent 2 emails and then went quite, so I kept them.

@dlr yeah the ant hills are impressive. I build and maintain most of the DH/jump trails in Cock/Duke’s Wood. It’s pretty vast and a lot of trails are very well hidden but I’ll gladly give you a tour sometime.

I was born and raised in rural West Yorkshire, which is a beautiful part of the country to grow up in. Then in my 20’s I decided on doing a very long (10 years) tour of the world. When I eventually came back to the UK I decided to buy a house in Hexham, Northumberland as it’s an absolute stunning county with so much wilderness to get lost in.

I use an 8-bitDO adapter and use my xbox controller. The 8-bitDO adapter works with pretty much any controller. Here’s a few links.

I’d honestly stay away from Sram SX as it’s their budget drivetrain. The Vitus 29 VRS is a cracking bike for the money and comes equipped with great Shimano gearing.

I used to own Vaults but got sick of a £100 pedal needing so much servicing. Now I ride Chromag Scarab and I don’t have to service them every couple of ride’s

I bought a Calibre Astronut for £550 that I use solely for pumptrack sessions. It’s a superb bike for the money.

I have a Commencal Meta AM hardtail frame on pre order. It’s due in at the end of the month. Might be worth having a look at them. There about £400.

    UPDATE

I bought some “Get Off” as suggested and it seems to have worked. I also painted the top of my fence with anti vandal paint so at least I can find out where the little buggers come from.

Best off looking at the German sites like Starbike, Bikester and R2-bike. I’ve just bought some Manitou Mezzer fork from Starbike and they were £100 cheaper than CRC and with plenty of stock.

Only ever had one dropper, a 9point8 Fall Line that cost a fair bit (£370) 4 years ago when I bought it. Since then I have used it on 3 bikes and re-charged it with air once.

There are tons of trails in Thrunton Wood. That’s the closest to Alnwick, other than that you have Kielder and chopwell

I’ve got lot’s of tattoo’s although all mine are big pieces. Smaller high detail tattoo’s will look rubbish in 10+ years time, especially if they have words in it. Also fine line and dot work will fade a lot quicker than bold lines. I have a half sleeve in fine line and dot work and don’t expect it to last past 15 years.

Thinking they got rid of them. I used to have a pair but found them to be too lethal with the steep muddy terrain I like riding

I used to work at an Evans store and saw some pretty horrific practices going on by the mechanics. One time a mechanic scratched a carbon road fork and decided to colour it in with a felt tip. The customer noticed straight away and ended up getting a new bike as compensation. Both mechanics in the store had zero cytech qualifications.

My cousin is a police dog handler up in Glasgow. He has 2 lovely working dogs (Alsation and a Cocker) that live with his family. Their amazing dogs to be around as their so well trained.

Working for Evans Cycles. Getting paid minimum wage with no commission to hard sell bike’s is a piss take. Went back to selling BMW’s.

@ravingdave just out of interest what paint job is on the car in question? My mate has the metallic gold version and it’s one of the best looking paint jobs I’ve ever seen.
