Yes it is doable. I run a fork that can either run a 15mm or 20mm axle and use Hope Pro 4’s.

I bought a carbon road frame from eBay about 5 year’s ago and it’s still going strong. Built it as a flat bar commuting bike and had zero issues with the frame

My Intend Edge fork is a beautiful piece of kit too stare at.

If it has the same or similar build quality of my old Great Wall X240 that I owned when living in Oz, I’ll give it a miss. The interior was laughable flimsy plastic mess that rattled like crazy on and off road.
