Before the pandemic I used to mainly work in retail but have now decided to train to be come a welder, after the lockdown has ended. I’m already a qualified scuba diver so looking to eventually combine the two and hopefully retire by 55.

When I used to live in the city I used an Olfi HD camera for filming my commute. Cost me £100 and is pretty decent quality for the price.

I’ve had a Leatherman Fuse for 15 years and would be lost without it. Why not add another superb tool to your collection.

Definitely not. I haven’t watched live TV in years and cannot remember the last time I payed for a tv licence. The Netflix and Prime subscriptions are far better for me as I can cancel and re-join whenever I want too. You can’t do that with the TV licence. I am amazed at the amount of people who pay for the likes of netflix and prime that continue paying for the service when their not using it.

@FunkyDunc the OP does’t mention anything about trying to help his neighbor. He’s just an idiot who spies on his neighbors then gossips about them.

God you must be a horrible neighbor to have.

Been using oval AB rings for years now. Great quality also great customer service if you ever chat with them.

Well they are breaking the law. On a residential street the emergency services have to have access 24/7.

Good luck finding another music streaming app with the amount of content that Spotify has for a measly £10 a month.

    Gusset is your answer.

Lot’s of choice on their site but I would personally go for the Tank chain.

My riding buddy owns an SB165 and only rides it in summer/dry weather due to the high maintenance involved with servicing the linkage. He loves the bike (he is a Yeti fanboi with too much money) but does whinge about the service intervals compared to his older AS-R 7 and 575.

Bet she’s stoked with that. It’s a great looking bike.

Not done any metal detecting but do the odd bit of magnet fishing in the river Tyne. Never found anything interesting just old bikes and shopping trollies.

I know for a fact that me and my partner wouldn’t be welcome there. The fact that being gay is a criminal offense and is punishable by either prison, flogging or death makes me want to stay away. But then that’s what happens when religion takes over a country.

    That’s a great looking hardtail. I bet he’s stoked!

I’m about to buy one of these to fit to a full sus. Probably a bit out of your price range but worth a look. There may be similar Chinese products?

Back in 2016 I bought a CDF 20 while working in a bike shop. Obviously I got it at a discounted price but wouldn’t ever pay full price for one as I think there not great value for money. I’m a steel fanboi and have owned many steel gravel/CX frames over the years and the CDF was the dullest steel frame I’ve ever ridden. Also as others have said the steel fork weighs a ton.

Take a look at Freewheel. As STW members we get 20% off (probably new stock and not sale stock). I’ve used the discount code quite a bit.

I have a friend who used to work in the Nissan factory in Sunderland. Nissan were heavily discounting the Joke’s for employees to purchase but hardly anybody took the offer up.

I used to own an Ohlins coil shock and got it serviced by Sussed Out Suspension. They are a great bunch of guys to deal with.

I use the Leatt Impact 3DF 5.0 shorts and there great, way better than the 661’s they replaced. They don’t have an arse pad though.

I’ve not been a STW member for very long but what I have learnt in that short amount of time, that there are plenty of pathetic old men on this forum.

I own a Focus estate and have no issues fitting my DH bike and hardcore hardtail in at the same time. I have to lie them flat as there both 29ers. No one can sit in the passenger seat when the DH bike is in the car as the wheelbase is 1350mm.

Yes Tom was a good man but I find it very insulting that his family got to be beside him on his death bed. My gran died last year at the good old age of 96 yet none of my family were aloud to be with her in her final hours. But then again she just cracked nazi codes and didn’t raise £33m for an underfunded NHS.

HMRC are full of sh1t. I run my own business and getting in touch with these morons always takes for ever (usually on hold for an hour) over the phone. There constantly making up excuses for their incompetence.

I’ve ridden hardtails the majority of my life and decided to buy a Cotic FlareMax 2 year’s ago for trail riding. Turns out that was a mistake and am now selling the frame and getting a custom hardtail frame built. The big issue for me was the huge reach (510mm) as it gave me a bad back on long rides. Also the long reach made the bike less playful even for giants (6’5″) like me.

I got a pair but ended up sending them back due to the sizing. I’m 6’5″ and in the 34/L size they were basically 3/4 length shorts. I don’t know why the cycle industry can’t make trousers for tall folk.

@makkag interesting topic you’ve brought up here. Have you had problems with both feet? The reason I ask is for the past few months I have been having real trouble with my right foot. While out walking or cycling my toes on my right foot go completely numb for no good reason. I’ve never had any circulation issues in the past so I’m completely stumped about what the issue could be.

Corned beef hash pizza used to be one of my favourite foods as a student. I’ll occasionally make one nowadays but only when I’m hungover, which isn’t very often.
