Trying Thompson and Morgans ‘heritage’ spud collection this year, along with some Sarpo and Sentanta as they did well against the blight.

Great looking tunnel there konadad! Was it costly? Toying with the idea of putting one on one of the allotments but not sure about sturdiness/vandalism etc…….

I built my fixed was built up in 2002, using a 46tooth 165mm crank chainset from an old folding shopper from the parts bin, and my original 1984 look pedals (that are still sweet!)

I think I changed an inner tube and the bar tape 3 years ago! :D

Its tough but MTFU and get in with it! If you had no desire for kids then maybe you should have stuck something on the end of it..

Yeah, lifes not that straight-forward, I know. Im going to be a dad again at 46… Bloody well wish i was 29!

My lad is 13, and its a great excuse to hand down your bike stuff to the young ‘un and get more bling for your own ride! 8)

When I was at uni and skint I used the garage at the end of Grenville Road. They were cheap, thorough, honest and reliable. Would not hesitate to recommend them, just cant remember what they were called! They serviced my van for me. One instance was a full service and MOT, cambelt change, new front discs and brakes. £270 all in (in 2009).

I would tell my friend in words of one syllable to stop messing around with the mother of his child.
If not then he would no longer be a friend of mine. And i would prepare to be there when his wifes world falls apart.

Been there, did nothing, lost 2 good friends.

Picking up our new Workning Cocker pup in a weeks time, hes from a long line of feild trial champions and i would like to know how to get more involved in shoots etc, hopefully when he has grown strong enough to run for a bit i can take him with the bike on the Quantock trails during the summer to keep his fitness up. Has/does anyone do this?

Ride one! Had my ‘Triggers Broom’ for over 20 years and has been my bike of choice all that time. Use it for commuting, as a general run-around, winter club runs.. It kinda gets under your skin..

Aviod extremes of hot and cold if poss, and slow acclimatisation to normal temp after any exposure is best. Roomy non-constictive footwear, especially for the toes, with room for a non tight, natural fibre sock. You do not want to restrict the circulation in any way if you can help it………..

Go and see your GP and get your circulation checked would be a good place to start.

Needs to be seen. I usually end up using a lateral wedge orthotic to reduce the stress on the peroneal tendons… best advice is to go and see someone. IME its not too common, and can take a while to resolve with appropriate treatment and advice

We had an Airedale that used to dig bloody big holes in the lawn. Tried everything to stop it. In the end all we could do was to back fill the hole with bricks, then a thin layer of soil and re-seed the patch. She used to like to dig the soft earth from a previous attempt. the hard brick stopped her efforts and after a few attempts she just gave up.

Cheap tesco pork pies are made form bacon.. Bite into any pork pie and the filling is pink then its made from bacon..

grey filling = Proper Pork PIE!

That said I used to make and sell my own when I was butchering, customers used to queue out of the door for them when they were hot! Dont think i often had many left to sell cold.

The hole in the top of a decent pork pie is there to pour the jelly into once baked, to fill the gap left by the shrinkage of the meat when cooked…… mmmmmmmmm pies!!!!!!

Yep, Rib-eye. Pierce the packaging and let it rest for 20 mins to absorb the liquid thats been vaccuumed out of it, but dont do this in the house…you’ll stink the place out! Then portion/use/store as required.

If its that long its definately not a rib-eye, nor fillet at that length, more likely to be a strip loin (boneless, trimmed sirloin). Either way just slice it down across the grain as thick as you like it! :D
