Get to a Specialist Biomech Podiatrist. Tennis Ball rolling is no good for tendonitis, thats better for plantar fasciitis. Eccentric stretching has really good results in building strength back in the achillies. You really should get this seen to, if it was corrected before using ‘cheese wedges’ then it sounds like a corrective for pronation pulling that achillie out of line…far too tech for me to go into detail here…. not enough time and patients waiting!

Can you get out with a local road ride? Good to get some experience first. Groups like this usually help out a newbie but riding in a group is not as simple as it looks.

New 5m bell tent just arrived. Looking forward to using it. Easier and quicker to pitch, warmer at night and cooler during the day. Two other tents, both Vangos, one 8 man, the other a 3 man, broke poles last year.

depends where you are. chit the earlies now and aim to plant them middle to end of March. Plant the main crop in april, chit them first although to be honest chitting spuds will posibly only advance the crop by two weeks.

Dont pollard it, it wont work on a cherry and you could be liable for the cost of the tree, also only prune it in mid summer, stone fruit trees pruned in winter, or no leaf, when the sap isnt rising are prone to a disease called ‘silver leaf’.

If it was to succumb to sabbotage  one dark night, then it would have to be felled!

Not me, but a friend of mine, whilst riding the Quantocks sliced his achillies tendon on his chainring whilst twisting it out of his spd. I rode back to the his van to return with it to pick him up but in the meantime he had frewheeled down Holford Combe, and i found him sat outside the pub with a pint! 8O

Uni rented roomshare with 3 of the dirtiest housemates imaginable. No amount of ballbusting would get them to clean up their s**t.

Posted them a polariod photo of their collective toothbrushes stuck up my a**ehole…

Photo was posted 3 months after i left!

The bike wont run out on you, wont look at you accusingly from a late night with the boys, wont insist that 30 pairs of shoes are a human right, hasnt got a mother! Cant burn the toast, or get a headache.. or gossip about you to its mates …..and is ALWAYS up for a dirty weekend!
