Really, how much stuff do you need in a nappy bag? Either empty it regularly or stop feeding the nappy filler?

Same happened here. I signed the house over to her to keep the home for my boy that he grew up in. It hurt like hell to do it, and i lost everything but IMO was worth it just for him. Big pill to swallow but get out of it now if you can.

The name Physiotherapist is ‘so called’ protected UNTIL you prefix it with the word Sports, or Massage, for example. All im saying is make sure its a proper Physiotherapist.

Sorry TJ, would like to think it is but im afraid not! Woody, indeed your right. G.P. would normally be the first point of contact but this needs seeing to now if only for piece of mind. Visiting the GP means further referral to a specialist for confirmation and treatment, all of this takes time. You could book and see a private Pod straight away.

Just look for one thats HPC registered.

Good point, but referrals take time.
Worst case scenario… lets not go there unless you fancy a handcycle.
Private pod asap. Physio’s are ok but the name physio isnt protected, and there are some sports massage therapists who have the right to call themselves physio’s, and do a great job, your choice at the end of the day.

Put it this way. Intermittent claudication can lead to 70% of sufferers having amputation within 5 years. Which if not bad enough, is statistically proven to greatly shorten life.

Podiatrists are lower limb specialists, we dont just do feet!

Sorry Seanoc, we’re all called Podiatrists now.. pediartist sounds a bit dodgy

Get yourself to a Podiatrist as soon as you can. If its compartment syndrome its a must that you do. It could be loads of things, muscle tightnes/imbalance. It could be something called ‘intermittent claudication’, even at your age. You need professional advise and clinical examination now. Dont go to a ‘chiro’, or a physio first. If it needs physio treatment a Podiatrist will tell you and refer you on. Intermittent claudication and compartment syndrome is our area of expertise.

    Good luck!

Best to just keep her as comfortable as you can and let her go quietly. A trip to the vets would possibly stress her more than is necessary. In my experience ( a cat breeder for 25 years) this is the way most will go at that age. Its perfectly normal. Just keep her warm and well loved.

Ernie, this guy was bare footed too. With a good aim for his age!
Robbo, will put in an incident report but thats all i can do.
Morgs, used to work on the doors ‘back in the day’, and would have loved to escort him out via the fire exit and ‘have a quiet word’.
BigJohn, The OP only asked him if he managed to file his own nails, after watching him touch the soles of his feet to complain about some discomfort. next thing all i hear is “i cant f8888ing reach them you ***t”, then saw stars as he left the room!

Oh, and they called an air ambulance for the casualty… he would have died if we hadnt insisted on a land ambulance as you cant do CPR in a helicopter.

Dont use St johns, all they’re good for is a triangular bandage and a cup of tea. At a national event a few yeears ago a competitor collapesed in front of the SJA crew, who did nothing, no CPR, NOTHING! I had to climb over the crowd barriers to get to him and start CPR with a few of my clubmates helping. They went to fetch a defibrilator form the club rooms and didnt know how to operate it. To cut a long story short they stood by while we gave the guy CPR and used the defib to ressusitate him. It took a 1 hour from collapse to the casualty being put in the back of an ambulance. When organising our own club race (300 plus entrants) we vowed never to use them again, we hired trained medics/paramedics for the day.

The casualty made a full recovery.
