That all depends if the price being asked is cheeky too! Recently purchased ours after putting in an offer 12% below asking price. They were taking the piss slightly so i thought i would too…held our nerve, got the property.

If you dont ask you dont get……….

Same mix as Cougar but with some chopped stem ginger..

Or leave out the stem ginger and add some finely chopped deseeded chillies in there, then half dip in melted chocolate when cooled and put back in the fridge.. Bl**dy messy trail food but what the hell!

Long long time ago.. Worked for a double glazing firm, 2nd week on the job taking out a metal casement window, balanced said window with my knees and managed to get to the bottom of the ladder when it slipped and landed on my foot.. later carrying too much and not looking where i was going trod on a nail with the same foot, much pain pulling that one out.. end of the day packing up i stubbed the same foot on the gate stop in the middle of the driveway. I thought the gaffer was having a heart attck, i’ve never seen anyone laugh so much!

JohnClimber… Go and see a Doc. Does it feel a bit like a cramp? It sounds as if your doing all the right things so far. You could try an insert in your trainer (put one in each shoe) about 5mm to 7mm deep under your heels, this will relieve the stress in your achillies. Problem is pain in your calves like that could be something called ‘intermittent claudication’. This is a narrowing or blockage in the blood supply to the part of the muscle that is in pain. The treatment for that is completely the opposite of the treatment for achillies tendonitis. It needs a definative diagnosis now. Googling it may scare you silly…. As a Podiatrist im aware that the wrong treatment for this could cause real problems……

Not much chance of it gooing on its own, surgery has a good success rate, but your fused toes complicate things. Have you tried orthotic therapy using a met dome to separate the metatarsals and relieve any pressure? they can be very successful

I am in the exactly the same situation, except that the chimney is built on the outside of the bungalow. It is sound, has been smoke tested but we were advised by different installers, and a sweep, that installing a liner would mean the chimney heats up qiuckly leading to a better draw as the chimney is only 12.5 feet high…..

You can damage the stone by not rotating it during use and not using the whole of the surface of the stone, causing a curvature on the face of it. Not a problem if all your knives are exactly the same size and shape. You can, and most probably will, with inexperince put a ‘wire edge’ on the knife. It will seem sharp but the edge wont last.

Best advice would be to buy a good steel and learn to use that. A multicut or an oval steel.

Unless you know how to use a whetstone correctly it would pay to buy a cheap one and practice getting a keen edge that way on some lees expensive knives, one that can be kept sharp just with the correct use of a steel. I used to work as a speed boner, and had to use a whetstone at least twice a day on all four knives. Its easy with practice and my knives at home havent been near the whet for over a year of regular use.

Dont use guide rails, just practice on a cheap stone before you lay out the wedge!

Get yourself checked out by a good physio. Could be that you are standing flat footed.. this can lead to internal rotation of the lower limb and anterior tilt of your pelvis leading to pain in the small of your back when standing for any period.. In that case go and see a Biomech specialist Podiatrist and not a physio as it can be curable with the use of orthosis

If the airway isnt blocked (you should be checking this before deciding CPR is needed) the small amount of air moved in and out of the lungs during compression is all that is necessary to supply the brain with oxygen until paramedics arrive.

instant hit, we had the same scenario last year. We are front line clinicians and ended up under the mental heath banner. they havent got a clue what we do/can offer so im afraid we may have sold ourselves short by not going over to social enterprise. If thats the way its going to go far better IMO to do it now and have a say in your future. A lot of us regret voting against forming a social enterprise..

Get the recall right, put the hard work in when they’re young, and be consistant. It works.

Not with mine though, i was crap at it (mines a Border).

Another one here who had to bail the ride in this morning. The ride was short but have to take a lot of kit in today to go swimming after work so wasnt worth the risk of bieng blown into traffic.

On the plus side there was a chicken blown into the garden this morning! Not a tesco one, this was alive and feathered, albiet a little ruffled! trouble is i know of no-one else locally who keeps chickens, so altough it wasnt one of mine (its a light sussex)i will add it to the flock tonight!

I took the stabilisers off my lads bike, with the intention of taking him out on it when i got back from the club run one Saturday morning. Very proud and surprised when i rode into our lane to see him riding up alone to meet me! He couldnt wait for me to get back so just took the bike out himself!……..

Get properly assesed coffeeking, and go to a Biomechanical podiatrist for assesment for insole therapy if its needed. BUT, DO NOT TAKE THE GP’S WORD ON NOT HAVING DISC PROBLEMS… i had that for 2 years, constant denial of any spinal problems from my GP, and Physio refused to scan. Eventually after months of arguement a scan showed chronic serious spinal injury……………….

Ours has been great. Brilliant with kids, will walk/run all day! Recall can be a problem if she gets a sniff of something interesting and she loves to roll in any fox/badger crap she can find!
It would be fair to say of most Borders that they dont realise they’re lacking in stature as she definately punches above her weight!
