Defo be easier to install a self cutting washing machine tap under the sink which will have a half inch thread on. be a fiver at most and you dont even need to turn the water off!

Freddyg, Salamander do a mains water booster pump which boosts the incoming water mains pressure. Simple to fit and should make all the water outlets perform much better. IIRC it gives a flow rate of about 12l/min

Freddyg: its not possible to run a shower pump on a combi system. Your shower will now run off mains pressure ,so should be as powerful as a ‘power shower’ (unless your mains water pressure is pants!)

How far is villard reculas? Have a 10 and 8 year old with me. should have already been halfway there if it wasn’t for the oil leak I found under the van when I went to pack it yesterday! Oil service was done the day before, grrrr! Looks like they have stripped the thread and it will need a helicoil to fix it. Oh well,could have discovered it 500miles down France when the oil light came on!

You reckon all the roadside pitches will be gone already? Have to watch from further down then I suppose. They are coming round twice at least, reckon they’ll be slower on the second pass:)
Same day closure was what I expected, maybe two days as it’s Alpe- duez. Have to see where we get there

Hoping of getdown with he family but not heading down from Nottingham gham til tomorrow night. When do you think the road will be closed and will it still be possible to camp by the road side? Any thoughts?
