Sorry, the short answer is “yes”

Anticipate the crash, accept it and choose how and where to eject without stressing.. Tuck n roll is a good option, as is sliding, anything other than stopping dead is preferable and yeah, don’t try to save your self with a limb with a joint locked straight.
Good core strength held. p crashing safely takes good muscle memory so the more you crash the better you’ll be at doing safely.

As. Jedi eludes to, work out why you are crashing too.

Ha ha.. You know there’s no pay out or XP if you race Alone?

There is a quit option. Or is it all about the WIN for you? 😉

Think I’m about 25wins to 50 races, full bars on the racing status, if I’m not spun off by another player or playing half asleep I’ll generally win. Tactics and patience come into busy multi player races

small change to a player like me Drac 😉

Anyone wanting to earn good money quick, get into an 8 player race down the drain, 9.5k for a win and you’ll level up after 3 wins.. It’s a short lap (not much more than a minute) and a fast circuit with plenty of carnage due to the 2 hairpins and narrow gaps between the concrete supports. If you’re any good at racing bet, I walked away with 15k for 3min racing last night. 😀

    ok. Blud! 😉

switch to a new online game if no-one’s taking you up on your mission invites.

Had plenty 8 player races and 4 player survival matches with randoms, never bothered using my own car, there’s always more than one to choose from that’s more than good enough to win with.

ha ha.. Molgrips, what were you thinking? just get a new cheap headset, mine was £8 from ADSA and although obviously not amazing, it does it’s job just fine without causing all sorts of annoying feedback etc..
if the old one turns up, you’ll have a spare or use it for your phone.

the game is called Grand Theft Auto after all
    Agree’d.

it’s my South Park Style Samuel L Jackson.

    Ha ha.. Brilliant!!! 😀

Samurai – the number is your rank within the CREW (I think)

finally bought myself a garage next to the skate park lastnight (at the ripe old age of L30) and a BMX to sit next to my whip 😉 is there actually any point/benefit in buying a house?

Also, I never seem to get any more than about $100,000 before I blow it on shite and tend to spray about 10k of ammo every hour or so.
any tips for making quick money? racing is my main income (I’m fairly decent at it so can make quite a lot fairly quickly but I don’t really want to spend hours grinding) selling a SUV every 45mins seems the only other quick(ish) way.

Why, when you’re constantly told to bank your cash can’t you rob other players (or be robbed) of decent amounts of money?

Would I have one as my only mtb ? , No danger . I still think a hardtail with standard 2.25 inch tyres on normal mtb trails is going to be way more fun. I do think a lot of folk on forums do seem overly protective about them though and seem to get the rage when ever anything negative is posted about them . I’d actually consider one of the uber cheap heavy American mongoose ones just to be able to ride on the beach with a few mates that have them but without spending loads of money on a bike.

careful, folk have been banned and labelled a troll here for such negativity 😉

Talking of being kicked, I killed another player and nicked his car tonight and he respawned round the corner so I drove round to run him over but instead got “kicked” out just before I was about to hit him and he shoguns me.. Guess he was quick enough to change his car access settings from <everyone> fair play! I’d never have pulled that off.

Had no idea you could simply change the settings when someone is using your car, should save chasing folk around trying to steal it back in future.

Giant don’t bring the current STP into the UK.. The old frames came in 14 and 15″ with 22 and 23″ TT respectfully.. I’m a proper geek when it comes to 4x/DJ frame geometry but begrudge typing at all when the OP can’t even be arsed to tell us his height.

All 4x frames have short seat tube’s, doesn’t mean they have short TTs

No idea what video you mean, but turn to one side on the take off and push the back end out through your hips, turn back into it to straighten out, push down and land front wheel first, scrubs are a very similar movement but dip your shoulder more. Timing matters too . now go practice!

Is the mongoose available in the UK?

    campkoala

Fine, if you’re happy that’s all that matters to YOU. You are however completely deluded if you think any fatbike accelerates well, rides technical descents well at speed or even corners well on mtb trails in comparison to a well set up 26″ bike with the correct tyre choice and pressures for the conditions.
They do hold momentum well, roll over certain things more efficiently and allow more grip in certain situations but I fail to see your problem admitting their down points. Epicyclo seems town to know the truth and have no problem admitting it.

Monkeyp, you need to re-read what particular type of rider/riding I was talking about instead of taking offence/trying to justify YOUR choice to ride one. I don’t particularly care how anyone else chooses to get their jollies, Just answering the guys question truthfully.

There was one in the classifieds yesterday, considering there’s likely to be less than a couple of hundred in use in the UK you wouldn’t really expect them to come up S/H too often

Probably, it’s quite flabergasting how incredibly dull fatbikers videos actually are. Quite why they feel the need to justify their hobby by videoing the most mundane rides on this earth I have no idea.
