What you describe is a marketing spin on a handy flaw

That’s rubbish, DW link was designed primarily for single ring DH bikes

Ha ha.. So you don’t really ride all that much, think it sounds a bit too much effort to but would like to be able to? Fair doos, ‘least you’re honest 😉

Anyone wondering how to find the time? Have a think about what do you actually do that’s productive with your spare time? and what do you do that’s not? Try giving up some of the unproductive time/things you do and head out on your bike, 10hrs a week is easy enough if you don’t sit around watching TV in the evenings or spend time on forums for example. You’ll more than likely have more energy than you did previously once you get into a habit of riding more. Guessing most of you manage maybe one decent length ride over the weekend already so during the week try not to drive to ride but ride from the door and you’ll free up even more time.
Also, always having your bike and cycling kit ready means you can head out at less than 5min notice. I sometimes wish I could commute at times as that’s dead time for many.
Anyway just blethering, probably incoherently when I should really be in my bed.

    Night all!

No idea what onzadog is trying to say but, do bear in mind, As with all DW link bikes, the suspension design characteristics will have been designed around a certain chairing size, I’d imagine that to be closer to 32 than 28 but you might as well look into it, Dave Weagle will no doubt help you if needed.

Inside dropout/stay clearance on mono HDs at the cassette locking side is pretty abysmal, personally I’d be trying to remove any chance of a chain jam there rather than add moar gears.. But I suppose an 11 spd chain may do less damage/be easier to free. 😉

Yay…….. Just received my $500000 no idea what to spend it on mind, CBA looking at apartments and happy with my 2 cars (until I level up more)

I’m well aware of how fractions work thanks Peter. 🙂
What catastrophe do you think will happen with only 20mm clamping surface and 15mm free at the top,?
And do you realise some BMX stems have as little as 22mm stack/clamping surface?

The stem won’t hold, the steerer with quite so much force, which may cause loosening of the headset adjustment.

If you’re really worried, run a headlock

Some stems go as low as 35mm stack height, although not ideal, this will work, personally I’d fit a lower stack headset top cup too (if possibe)

Next time she goes to theirs give her a fiver and tell her to give it to her mates mum towards tee, that should sort it.

Why would talking cause an atmosphere? 😯

If you can’t talk about this, you’re **** when they start all getting into trouble with the police, doing drugs, drinking and shagging

Crazy, I know but how about talking to your kids friends and their parents about your first world problem?

But to humour you, I’m generous with my time but not a mug with my money. I do ask my teenage kids parents if they want me to feed them and ask them if I was thinking them to contribute to petrol, cinema, meals etc. as do they with me.

Only ever seen it work well for lighter riders, your middle finger lol be less powerful than your index even if you’re a strumming addict.

No, not you dude, I agree with you.

Having the correct gear to give you your optimum cadence in all situations and having a bike on a level playing ground to your competitors may be *fairly* important in competition. Otherwise, not so much..

What I find peculiar is changing what I said to suit your argument and hounding me for a response to something I haven’t said..
    .
Is it really this hard to accept anothers opinion?

So other players won the game for you? ;P Try FFA deathmatch against 12-15yr olds if you want your ass handed to you.

    Oh.. and mute them.

Kinda meh.. Here too. Got 4 CODs on the shelf I rarely play, new maps and different quirks to the guns probably won’t change that.
Willing to have my mind changed tho if not the case.

250g durable cassettes and steel free hubs for me, I’m no ladyboy 😉

8spd ultegra STI are not as difficult to get hold of as you seem to think.

But don’t worry your pretty little head about me, My ex used to buy expensive & pretty (but ultimately pointless) things to make herself feel better too so I’m well used to your argument.

Sorry bails, I’ve only eve started a race on my own once (same reason as you) got no winnings and the only XP I received was for fastest lap (kinda easy with no rivals).. Maybe it’s changed since/or before..

The stairs aren’t hooked up to the jumbos for me, maybe once you’ve levelled up? Who knows.

Anyone help me find an aircraft / heli with firepower? I don’t even know how to get into the military base.

What’s not “decent” about my 8spd ultegra groupset?

All consumables are still readily available at a fraction of the cost of even budget 10/11 speed.

Sounds like Cynical knows the score.

What’s the hardest mtb race in the world? 😯

I assume we’re talking sloely about cycling fitness here?
Even so, I’m not really sure how to quantify fitness. I do know my strengths and weaknesses though.
I probably ride between 10 and 20hrs per week (I have a lot less free time every second week) and this last year have spent a lot more time on the road bike to improve stamina for longer mtb rides, I’m at the point now where 80 miles on the road bike in the evening after a days work with no fuel is easy, and the only challenging thing about completing a century is coping with boredom at the slightly reduced pace required.
On the mtb my strengths have always been core strength and sprinting, being a well above average descender and jumper with increased endurance fitness I’m now able to enjoy longer rides much more.
Ideally I’d like to improve my climbing and take sprinting to another level but this would mean losing a couple of stone and a much more interval based training plan.
Don’t really know why but I just find it incredibly hard to give it my all when doing intervals, I don’t sleep enough and am never fully rested is my guess. and I like food and drink far too much to get down and stay at a proper climbers weight.

So, am I fit? Dunno is still my answer.

Yes, I’m rubbishing wasting your time learning a whole new sport from scratch to learn simple techniques in another un related sport.

I’m not saying it won’t help.

playing computer games will improve hand eye Co ordination and reaction time so help with biking too. A discussion about which games will help most is about as relevant as which martial art.

Yeah dude, when you jump or hit a turn you spot the landing or the exit, crashing is no different in this respect.. Make the decision when it’s gone wrong and choose where /when to eject if possible.
Jumping proper doubles teaches you this pretty quickly..
