Probably nerves. Such a difference swimming in open waters compared to a pool. Just getting used to the lack of vis can get you breathing hard and you lift your head out alot more to see where the hell you are going which buggers up your stroke. You have to train to relax and keep calm. Get into a rhythm of counting your strokes can help.

I see them here in Aussie as well. Definately a sign of the times and the amount of social media nerds riding trails.Just another trail accessory for the masses.
Don’t forget to wave when you ride past.

Never thought much of it at the time but really enjoyed Keane-Hopes and Fears.
Listened to it non stop during a trip around France with my eldest daughter back in 2006 she was 14 at the time. I dont get the chance to see her much as she lives in the States with her mum.
That was the last time we were really close and she was still my little girl wanting to hold my hand and snuggle.
This album has grown on me over the years and brings back such lovely memories for me I get a lump in my throat every time I listen to it.
    *I know! Keane huh wtf.*

Nothing worse than being chatted merrily to while struggling up a hill. I bet you had that smug smile on your face that only you can do so smugly when they showed up at the bottom of the hill. I’m surprised they didn’t challenge you to a dual.

Ha just went to garage so I could measure that for you and slowly came to the realization that I had loaned my soul to a mate. Thanks for the heads up.

Nigel I take my hat off to you mate and can not imagine how difficult that must be for you. I hope you have some good help at hand.
All good here really. Lots of roadies where I live in Sydney. Closest trail for me is 45min drive away on a good day and have to pay tolls to get there but get there I do.

That will be with Arriva trains. They are great with bikes. I used to commute with them from Chester to Warrington, peak hour times and never once in 2 years was I or any other cyclist bumped off a journey. The bike carriage is designed for 2 bikes but easily accomodates 4. They would let us stand in carriage entrance if that was full. Tell them I said hi 8)

Nearly took the kids to see them at Taronga zoo today but went for a ride instead. Glad I didnt as the crowds were so big they shut the zoo and traffic was chaos that way for hours.
Woolworths still alive and doing very very well down here.

I just had my cassette and chain replaced and ended up with a terrible racket down below.Turned out the new chain was slightly sticking to the chainring and would only do it under load.See if you can have someone look there when you are riding or try having a look in that spot yourself.Took me ages to find where the noise was coming from but eventualy could clearly see how the chain was ever so slightly sticking to the teeth.
