I would say yes in my opinion £180 is definately worth it for a plusher fork and greater stopping power

Its a question of travelling time flying is better. for peace of mind about bike safety and taking spares driving is more beneficial thats why I thought coach would be an option but cant find any that go to morzine in summer. Untapped business potential there

100mm rear 120mm front is the norm. 130mm would maybes make it feel a bit unbalanced

Lower pressures cause more pinch flats because the tube gets between the rim and tyre more easily.
I changed to a tubeless setup in the summer and I now wouldnt go back to tubes. Yes initially it had me tearing my hair out trying to get them inflated but once you get the technique right its a doddle. Its the lower pressures that really swing it though your tyres just feel like they are sticking to the trail and gives you the little extra confidence to push yourself that bit faster.

Just look at it as though you bought them as present to your father. As long as you can prove the bikes exist there shouldnt be any problems. They dont know who actually owns them. Ringing them would potentially cause a problem as it would alert them to the situation

The difference is a carbon seatstay by reading the descriptions check sizing out if your going to order one because they are slightly different to regular uk sizes. They have a proper size guide thing that you enter your various measurements into arm length, torso length, inside leg, height and weight and they tell you what frame size is most suitable. If you do get one could you give us a review 😀

Personnally I would go for the canyon strive for the sort of riding you describe because the torques weight 38lb pedalling uphill isnt going to be very pleasant. I have to agree with value for money I am finding it hard for reasons not to buy one myself. I would get the strive sell the talas fork and get a fox 36 van.

I have been looking at this brand lately but there are no reviews in this country. I think its a case of its not a frontline brand so the magazines dont touch them. They look unbeatable for value.

I dont think that is too bad really you pay £30 for competition entries normally without any food ,accomodation and your gear getting transported

I would say its all down to the track your riding and the conditions look at Gee Atherton he rides both and he isnt doing too bad 😛

Just use the bontrager strips they work fine. I have a spare set of the asymmetric ones if you need them. I bought the wrong ones so these are just sitting around doing nothing all you need to pay is postage and packing costs.

Toombsy would of been interested but im up in northumberland. It wouldnt effect warranty because you just swop the old ones back in before you send it away

I wouldn’t want to run the 36’s in uk cos I like the talas adjustment for climbing. I only thought about buying a set of 36’s for the alps for the added stiffness and extra travel. I plan on only using the 36’s fir when I go overseas alps this year and whistler next. Just wanted to know if it was worth changing to coils for the more downhill bias riding overseas

Bushpiloting looks awesome if you don’t mind me asking how much did your trip cost minus the heli drop because that looks a very serious option now
