Only happens when I’m hanging too far off the back and serves as a nice reminder that I need to get my weight a little further forward for better control. Actually improved my riding and don’t crash half as much when it gets steep and techy now

Mine has been faultless and ive just changed the outer sleeve from 30.9 to 31.6 for my new frame. 10-15 minute job and only about 37 euros for the new outer sleeve much cheaper than buying a new post.

Try one for sure I bought a enduro 29 back in 2015 and was mocked by most of the people I ride with but after eventually trying it they have all bought 29ers since. Ive just ordered a new Transition Sentinel as I fancied trying the new offset malarkey

Yellow jersey were great for me last year when I wrapped myself around a tree in whistler and ended up in the hospital. Claim settled very quickly. Annual policy includes winter sports as well

you can usually find discount codes for them with a quick google search

Which tracks they using was planning on calling in for a ride tomorrow on my way back down south. Just so I plan a route without getting in the way

Id skip Glenlivet and go to Laggan much better centre with more variation and will save you a fair few miles driving. Dunkeld is worth a visit on the way back down the bike shops there should be able to give advice on routes coupled with trailforks make for some very enjoyable riding

Yeah I second yellow jersey. I had a big crash in whistler this year paid out within 5 days of sending the paperwork. If you put a quick search in google you can generally find a 10% off code pretty quickly as well.

    Sram xg 1175

I always buy from these and normally quick delivery. The 1175 is what comes as OEM on a lot of bikes much lighter than the 1150

Inners – Best way to ride up for a play on Angry Sheep if we have the energy Left?

Do angry sheep before you do Cadon bank (last descent on red trail). When you come back onto the fireroad after doing Plora Craig instead of turning right towards Cadon Bank turn left and climb up the fireroad trailforks should help you with the rest of directions

Sorry Little Pony is the strava segment for the bottom half feed the pony I thought it was called that on Trailforks as well but just checked and its not on. Its basically the part of feed the pony from where the pushup starts. Only problem if you start riding the golfie regular it makes everything else you ride seem pretty tame. I always find it best to ride about 2 or 3 days after rain so its still tacky. I find it as difficult to ride when its bone dry as I do when its a mudfest.

Loose women is really good fun and still has mud factor unlike the bedrock that a lot of trails seem to be down to now. It is however a bit of a mission to get to. A good route first time would be
Lone wolf (option to cut off to get to loose women)
    community service
    Repeat offender top
waterworld (this may be contentious for a first ride but I dont find it too difficult compared to some of the other options)
Feed the Pony (If your not feeling energetic and cant stomach the push up little pony is still a good option)

Baron projekt is brilliant in most conditions. Only time I’ve ever had it feel sketchy is riding in dust but thankfully dusty conditions in the uk are rare. High roller 2 or Hans dampf rear to go with it.

I think the revive will fit. Just wanted real life experience of what people have managed to fit in as what is written on paper doesn’t translate to real life sometimes

Chapaking the headtube on the large 29er is only 110mm

    cabbage84

The E29 head tubes seem long for a 29er that will need at least a 160mm fork.

Same length as last year and shorter than 2016. Overall stack height has been reduced

Bottom bracket is 6mm lower than last years in low setting. Releasing the flip chip as a retro fit is also great news for 2017 owners

The dhf are impossible to find dhr2 are just about possible. Considering maxxis are probably the biggest selling tyres there stock levels to distributors is horrendous. Even normal 2.5 dhf has lead times

If you are not planning on refitting I generally use a Big screwdriver/punch and hammer then just tap around the inside edges. Normally a bit stubborn to start with but once it starts to move comes out pretty quickly. Once you have 1 out the second is a piece of cake

Old caliper is about a 10 minute job if you have a buddy to help if not it’s a bit of a pain. New caliper is really easy to bleed with blade tool. I had the old guide r’s which were great for power I’m not a skinny lad and never had any problems in the alps or Canada with them. On my new brakes I’ve never even touched the bite point only reason and multiple threads I have read about them most people say save the cash and just go for the RS

If you go in September you can get a fall season pass relatively cheaply in comparison to normal prices. Bearback are very good we went with them in 2015 and would highly recommend if your travelling singly. Exchange rate makes a massive difference as last year we found it cheap in comparison to what you would pay for food and drink in a uk city but this year was more was a lot more expensive. Make sure you spend a day in Squamish bearback normally offer a days guiding at a small extra cost but definitely worth it johnny lives and Squamish and will show you all the best bits. Worth paying for the worca ap on your phone as well excellent for guiding yourself in the valley

BC road trip for a month next month north shore, Squamish, whistler and pemberton. Ideally 2 month to go even deeper into BC. Last year 12 days was nowhere near enough we barely scratched the surface. Trails are amazing

Recently bought a new bike with rs guides on fully intended swapping them out immediately with my spare set of xt’s but due to having no time to swap them over had to ride with the guides and I’m so glad I did as most people are saying the modulation is far superior to the xt’s. Im not a light rider at over a 100kg and there was more than enough power to stop me when needed. I’m now even considering putting them on my other bikes

There was issues with the original iodines the freehubs wouldn’t stay together. This has been addressed now and seem a very good wheel. I picked my iodine 3’s up for 295 new at merlincycles. Not sure if they had 650b

I actually mean driving between resorts. I just don’t know if google is taking the long way due to potential snow during winter months on the passes.

I had this issue with a rear shimano deore about 3 year ago it’s so frustrating I tried all the things you have tried with the same outcome. Eventually bought a new brake set as couldn’t live with the vibration. Would love to know the problem as it haunted me for about 2 month

    cabbage84

That sorts my descent out so is it easier to go up from thirlspot or up wythbrun

I think it must be the wythbrun bridlepath im thinking of. Tried Dollywagon and didnt enjoy in the slightest

Selling the remedy because its the older and the less travel of the zesty makes more sense when pairing with a 170mm bike. I couldnt seperate which one is the best the remedy does everything without fuss and comfort but the zesty feels more lively on the descents. best way to compare remedy like a bentley and zesty like a ferrari both excellent cars in there own right but completely different styles

I have a zesty 514 2011 and a trek remedy 8 2010 model and I love them both. Im looking at selling my remedy but only for something with more travel not because of ride quality. The Remedy rear end feels better in my opinion due to the drcv shock. You will be happy with whichever one you choose. If I was buying now I would probably buy the zesty due to the reason you mentioned about been able to basically change it into a spicy when required.
