I have sid xx’s 120mm which I bought from Merlin for 450 about 2months ago, the seem alot more responsive to small bumps than my old fox floats they replaced, the xloc lockout is also very handy for racing and general riding

I looked at them at the cycleshow as i was interested, did seem heavy to me, i think they saved money on the wheels and groupset, as the frame and fork are very similar to the s-works model

the course was a safe bet i think, dealt with the mud well. i struggled with the road as singlespeed, my choice tho….

    Great organisation and marking etc

i rode bits of the course they sometimes use yesterday and it was hard work even with bonty mud-x and maxxis ardent on the front, its really bad in some places with the cley like mud but its mostly rideable just hard work

it can take a little motivation to get out in the dark, but it is rewarding. It has a different effect to in the light, speed and terrain are different and at this time of year its hard to keep rides in the daylight! plus its good training and feels worth it come the spring…..

i use these nice bearings and seem quite tough, can get them individually as well as the lower wheel seems to die quicker

I have spesh BG’s 46 and just bought some mw80’s was going to get the 45’s but got 46’s and they fit well with regular/thick socks (northface merino wool socks from wiggle) they come up very slightly smaller, but one of my feet is bigger than the other, glad I got the 46 in the end

Might be worth checking that the bike isn’t covered on her house insurance, my bike was nicked from the uni bike sheds and my parents house insurance paid out 1500quid despite knowing it wasn’t at home.

Yeah it was tbh, i've since decided to stick with 1×9 for dusk til dawn as I only walked the steep bit on my last lap. Yeah think i got the singulars mixed up, definitely remember the rigid one overtaking me at some point tho =/

didn't realize the guy who won the solo was riding that rigid singular ti ss! and I was complaining that 1 x 9 was hard, major respect to that man!

never thought to look on facebook, think i'll send him a message, not keen on the naming and shaming as I don't want it to hamper me getting any money back, its definitely put me off using classifieds tho, which is a shame as most people on there are no hassle at all

i'm trying to give the guy the benefit of the doubt as he had a valid reason why it took ages to post, but im losing patience on the lack of replies to my email, i'm not keen on selling it on as its an odd length and no bb doesn't help but i guess its my only option. il know now not to pay gift but i've never had any trouble in the past

not sure really, it lights everything up nicely! the main thing i like over the hope stuff is it tells u what power setting your on and how much juice it has left, some the vision 2 i borrowed didn't do which was crap. I'd possibley consider the toro now or maxx-d if i was purchasing again

    c_klein87

Exposure lights all the way! always been impressed by enduro maxx, did invest in a cheap p7 head torch as well tho.
