Another vote for the Hubba Hubba, easily enough room to sit up in and store bags etc if you want them in with you. I can also vouch for MSRs customer service after a ham fisted pal broke a pole joint on ours. Quick email and a replacement was sent out to us, didn’t even ask for postage costs!

Ive a terra nova laser for solo trips though. Would not want to sleep with anyone else in it.

Could be a good shout. Currently In Edinburgh but that only adds another ten miles or so. Will have a google in a bit.

AdamW – Albert Kennedy Trust are a great organisation, good choice. :-)
Through some of the work I’ve done in the past I know how easy it is for people to end up on the streets, and I regularly give to homeless charities.
Like others I feel torn about giving directly to someone. It’s not my place to judge.
I’m aware that not everyone who asks for money on the street is going to use my dosh to fund a drugs or alcohol habit, and yes occasionally I do both so I’m a little hypocritical, but personally I don’t feel good about the possibility of it being spent on smack so choose not to.

Now I really want to be able to lick my elbow.
I think the laughing hard at bad jokes is probably as far into flirting as I delve as well.
A general I’m going to attempt to show you that I think you’re amazing. :?

allthegear I’m also in an open plan office. Just had a go but I can’t do it. I’m hoping that means I have long graceful arms :-)

I pretty much always listen to an album in it’s entirety but like DezB am always doing something else while I listen. I quite like the idea of this, could be pretty meditative. Did hear the BBC programme about it though and I’m fecked if someone’s going to tell me I can’t go to the toilet half way through if I want to :-)

I don’t think I do any of these things. So if I do then I fall into the subconcious category.
Is it really 10.30… I need to still be unconcious today… mega tired.

Nice, but definitely not knocking Nigella off the top spot for me.
    Plus Nigella’s cakes look nicer….

Um, I just had to look up ‘shazaming’

I still love a good record shop for a browse and can’t imagine not buying cd’s or records. It’s like a book, holding and owning it as a physical thing is part of the pleasure of the purchase. Mp3 players are for putting my cd’s onto :-)

Leakage is not so attractive… The patagonia one looks nice. Can’t see how warm it is in comparison to the Rab though. Do Haglofs do one? I like their stuff.

I’ve just booked the Wednesday, Thursday & Friday off work :-) so now have 5 days to kill.

Do you have any sort of budget in mind?

Hmm not really. I have a bit of dosh set aside so could have a stab at anything under a grand I guess really. (This makes me sound flash – I’m not!)

I’m actually scared of heights – although I LOVE the idea of sky diving i’m not sure I’d actually get out of the plane. I got myself ‘stuck’ in an attic recently playing extreme hide and seek. :-) Apparently my arms are strong enough to pull me into a roof crawl space but my mind isn’t strong enough to get me to jump back out of it

Oh, it actually has lard in it.
I’m not sure how I feel about this but I’m willing to give it the benefit of doubt. I might have a go at yer funny southern cake as well this weekend. :-)

Emma82 I’m with you, I feel like I’m living nocturnally at the moment. Dark when I go to work and when I leave.

I love going out for a ride when it’s rainy or freezing and then coming back and warming up and feeling like I deserve a good rest and a beer.

BUT I’m hating this winters commuting in drizzle, miserable!

Split them into teams and give them a couple of newspapers each and some masking tape and get them to build the highest structure they can that will support something you have lying around, a car (toy car – clearly) or something.

What kind of stuff do you do with them now?

The youth group I work with just made a massive lantern out of bamboo (think bigger than them)
Take huge sticks of bamboo make massive shape (triangle is best but let them decide) secure bamboo together with masking tape.

Let them paper mache (sp) the frame with big sheets of coloured tissue paper, messy, fun and they get to work as a team.

Let it dry and take it outside next time they meet and stick a big candle / light in it. Looks cool.

why don’t you just buy sliced bread?

Same. I don’t even have time for toast in the morning. Glass of water and go. Breakfast at my desk at work. Kills 10 minutes doesn’t it. :-)

sniggletrack – I can’t drive  on the list of tasks which I must complete now I am 30 and an actual adult.

I jumped out of a plane on my 30th.

    Oooo. I like this. :-)

Why is 30 considered a mile stone? I dont feel any different to when I was 20-29

Me neither. I hadn’t even really thought about it until the whole blinking world started asking me how I was intending to mark it!

I’m now thinking stuff em. Going to do something outdoors, probably a walk somewhere good, maybe a swim outdoors and local if I can hire the gf a wetsuit. Massive dinner, few beers. Done :-)

It’s a corner. And nobody puts baby in it.
I’ve never watched it not hungover and it’s ‘guilty’ pleasures.
Don’t worry I am ashamed.

Ahh, I see. In that case you need to invite me for the weekend.

    Sammie Louise

Hmm. I’m not sure I believe you. I’d need to see some photographic evidence, and maybe a drivers licence.

I have though entered Transwales and the black mountain three day event

This is a god one. Maybe I’ll mark it at another time of the year. Takes the pressure off and means I get to have a sunny (er) birthday celebration. In June maybe? :-)

    Have a good one mate!

    You too!

TSY Now we might be getting somewhere :-) Swap the lads for the girls (because I am one) and that sounds good for the weekend.

Except 2 of them are stuck into studying at the moment (phds so full on) and the rest are non bikey.

I think I’ll search out somewhere decent to eat for the night but I’m still stuck for something to do in the daytime.

It a Wednesday, what do you even do on a Wednesday.

Maybe I’ll go for walking, I don’t know why I’m trying to complicate it so much :?

Anyone want to know about the bike I’m putting together, how I’m getting on with smoking, or any other tomfoolery I’m up to this weekend?

Aw, I want to know about all of these things :-)

I also want you to heeelp me find something to do on my birthday before I fall into a crumbling wreck. I HATE making decisions like this. :|
