Thanks for the recommendation, I have looked at their site before but was trying to find somewhere to get them from in the UK.

Well it’s nice to think that certain extremist groups want to do away with important values such as freedom of speech; coincidentally the same rules that they use to peddle their hate to anyone willing to listen

It’s also nice to see that they respect those who seek to uphold the law

Well, my opinion on the matter is that if Islamic extremists such as the guy below are correct…

…Then I reckon it’ll look a little bit like this

But hey, don’t worry…it’ll probably never happen, so just

Now if it was Christians acting this way, or Catholics, Jews, Sikhs, Buddhists or any one of the other >4000 religions being practiced all over this wonderful world of ours then I’d be just as horrified and disgusted but currently it is Islamic extremists who are choosing to spew their vile, contorted views of what is basically a peaceful religion to anyone willing to listen.

Also, whilst I know that the people in the photos represent a very very very (repeat multiple times more) minutely small proportion of practising Muslims in Great Britain, it still saddens me to think that the British government tolerates such behaviour and such blatant inciting of racist hatred, all because they wouldn’t want to be seen as being racist themselves.

I think the people in the picture below have the right idea…laugh in the faces of the extremists as after all, I can’t see the image of London above becoming a reality and hopefully, they (the extremists) will all get bored once they realise that a) they aren’t achieving much with their protests and blowing themselves up, and b) that the afterlife doesn’t actually exist and there are no virgins waiting for them…how very disappointed they will be!

    Adios!

So I’ve finally gotten around to making a start on my light, after being messed around when buying a battery pack/charger/charging bag from HK. It took nigh on fifty days of waiting and arguing before finally getting a refund from the seller and acknowledgement that Customs had sent the item back to him for some unknown reason.

Anyway, I have now purchased 4x18650s along with a SoShine SC-S1 Max charger from the UK but I’m at a loss as to where I could get a battery holder from. I’ve emailed BCT to see if he has any left but I’d greatly appreciate it if anyone either a) has one to sell or b) knows where I could get one from.

    Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately they had no free timeslots until the day that I was due to travel on 🙁 If they had done, it would’ve saved my almighty mission (further) up north!

A family friend went to Liverpool today as she is flying off to Australia tomorrow and figured yesterday that she had misplaced her passport! She got an appointment at Liverpool at 12 today and had her new passport a few hours later.

She took literally all of her ID documents with her including her older expired passports, photocard driving license, recent utility bills and even her birth certificate (better being over-prepared) and she managed to get it without a hitch…I don’t know how much it cost her though.

I had to travel all the way to Durham passport office last year when I figured my passport had ran out and I was due to go to Amsterdam the next day. The 2-3hour train ride there (from Manchester) at 7am, a day in Durham and then a train journey back was just what I needed after a heavy night on the booze but ah well, it meant I got to go to Amsterdam with the lads so it’s all good!

I hope you get it sorted.

How to bypass iPhone 4 passcode –

Maybe…I’d say try changing the network encryption type first in the router settings and then try putting the new password in on all of your devices. My iPhone is very fussy and needs the settings entering manually once then it will connect but it won’t get them automatically through DCHP as it should 😐

Let me know how you get on.

Wireless networks can be a right pain in the backside to sort out and there could be a whole host of things affecting your connection. Without physically messing about with your network settings it’s hard to know what’s up but you could try changing the encryption used to a different type i.e. WEP to WPA2 as that can cause issues for unknown reasons with different devices. If that has no effect then try using Windows wireless manager to connect to the network rather than any third party software that you may be using. If that doesn’t work then I’d say try another dongle if you can get your hands on one!

Also, Windows 7 isn’t gash on the whole…netbooks however are pretty gash as they’re meant to browse the net and not do a whole lot else. IMHO, XP would probably run just as slow and you may struggle getting XP compatible drivers for all the hardware inside your netbook.

Best thing to do is put some more RAM in it as it’s a cheap upgrade but it’s very effective and you’re sure to notice the difference. If you let me know which make/model netbook you have, I can give you some links to compatible RAM to buy and instructions on how to install it (5 minute job).

Try this one Sony CMR-PC2 Driver

It’s meant for the PC2 but may work with the PC3. Worst case scenario is that it doesn’t work and you’re still without drivers but give it a try and see. I’ve had a scout about and can’t seem to find specific PC3 drivers anywhere so if it doesn’t work then I’d say try emailing Sony and see if they can provide you with them.

One of my work colleagues parked in the car park at Sale leisure centre and a nice lady was seen reversing into the side of her car at some speed before getting out, having a look at the damage and then driving off. I forget how much they had to pay to get it sorted but it was over £500. The leisure centre didn’t want to know and they don’t have CCTV but someone did note down the perp’s number plate and passed it on…Unfortunately they noted it down wrong so they were never found 🙁

He is a real dog, albeit a dog that is struggling through life with a disability. Just because he has a cardboard tube for a leg, it doesn’t mean that he’s any less of a dog than the others in this thread and I can’t believe you’re singling him out as a target for your hurtful comments 😥

    Shame on you.

I had the same problem on my Escort. I didn’t think much of it to start with but then one day, it got so bad that I managed to drive the 5 miles to work without using the accelerator as the revs were stuck at around 3k and the only way to get the level to drop was to turn the engine off 😐

I jacked the car up and emptied the oil out before removing the idle control valve, cleaning it with petrol & WD40 and then putting it back on and putting new oil in. That was in June and it’s been fine since, although the engine does idle at about 1.5k when it’s cold but it’s an old car so it won’t be perfect.

See Link on how to clean the idle control valve (note – link is for an Escort but the process is the same and the valve for the focus looks the same as the pictures)

It’s not a big job and providing you’ve got a couple of axle stands you’ll be able to get under the car to change the oil and remove the valve. It took me about an hour and half to do it and only cost £1 for petrol and £15 for new oil and a sump plug washer so it’s worth a try before taking it to a garage and being charged an arm and a leg (and other assorted body parts).

I’ve just renewed my AVG although it’s a lot cheaper to buy a copy off Ebay rather than renew through AVG. For a comparison, through AVG the price was about £35 for one PC for one year. Off Ebay, I got a one year license for 3 PCs for £18. As we’ve got two PCs and a laptop in our house it works out at £6 a computer and as AVG doesn’t affect the speed at which they function and has never failed me, I’m happy to pay.

First things first, don’t sync either of your Ipods with your new PC as it WILL wipe all of the music off them.

What you need to do is transfer all of the music off one of your Ipods onto your new PC and the way to do this is by utilising a third party software application such as idump or copypod (just google either of the names).

Copypod is a paid for piece of software which costs about $16 (£10) however I have used this program on numerous occasions with a handful of different Ipods and they have all worked fine so I can vouch for its usability and reliability.

If you want to try a free option first, then try idump or just google “copy songs from ipod free” (minus the quotation marks) and try one of the other free/shareware programs that come up (though you should note that most shareware will only copy a certain number of songs unless you buy it so they would probably be of no help).

That’s a good link for anyone with a vintage Omega but as the OP’s watch is just over seven months old I doubt they’d touch it. It’s worth a go, although I’d ask at your nearest authorised Omega stockist (or Omega store) before sending it off to them, as for it to be covered under your warranty and therefore be free of charge for you, they will have to send it off for you.

It takes so long for a watch to be serviced/mended because they have to be sent off to Biere, Switzerland to Omega’s repair workshop. Now I have no idea why it takes Omega twelve weeks (or six months in my case) to send a watch to Switzerland, get it fixed/serviced and send it back to the UK, but I have a sneaky feeling that it’s because this man is the only person working for Omega (hence the long delay over Christmas time!)

If you take your Omega to an independant watchsmiths and they open the caseback it will void your warranty, so I would avoid doing this at all costs. A loss of 4 seconds a day is within the guidlines for COSC certification so Omega would be well within their rights to not even look at the watch however a wait time of 10-12 weeks is nothing compared to the 6 month turnaround time I was quoted for my Seamaster to be serviced 😐

I’m sorry if that doesn’t help you a lot but I really wouldn’t worry about a 4 second loss per day. If it gets any worse then by all means, contact Omega and send it off but for now, I’d just MTFU 🙂
