    Is it really?

Surely it’s the actual occasion that will be enjoyable; the seeing of friends and the eating of nice food? I very much doubt that the ingestion of a toxic chemical will make your night (or tomorrow) any more enjoyable.

I don’t doubt that you will have a great night however it will be in spite of the alcohol consumption rather than because of it.

Thanks for all your help people!

I think that I was being a bit optimistic thinking that I could access and edit an Access database from multiple locations without a server.

I’ve given in and rang our outside IT support as I think a VPS may work for what we want but he’d have to come and set it up as I have no experience with servers (as you can probably tell).

PS. Cougar is an IT genius (but TJ is god)

Wow, so it took over eight weeks to process then 😯 . Can you remember how long it said they would take to get back to your in the first email that they sent to you when they received your application? If yours said six weeks too then I’ll leave it be for a couple of weeks rather than ringing them to chase it.

Just out of interest, how long did it take them to get back to you RE your visa application? I only ask as I too have applied and was told that I should hear back in six weeks which is coming up this Tuesday but I was wondering whether they actually got back to you within the specified time period?

I plan on working my way around the country rather than staying in one place, although I’ve got friends in Vancouver so I’ll ask whether they know of any jobs going that fit your remit.

You could also do with a mask for the asbestos issue and a size 10 boot for any spiders. One will suffice, but wear two just in case you come across any this size:

I’d be interested to hear why you ‘had to’ follow in the footsteps of the criminal scum that surrounded you…Was it peer pressure? Were there literally no jobs and no opportunities to be had?

I think the reality is that people are too lazy to actually go out and graft for a normal wage and they make a conscious choice to become a drug dealing scumbag (or commit other crimes) in order to get a large tax free income for minimal hours work/effort, whilst still probably claiming £££s in benefits from the hard working taxpayers.

Oh, and as for the “But there’s no jobs” excuse…

    1) My backside are/were there no no jobs; that’s the laziness speaking!
    2) Commute further afield if there’s no positions available locally?

EDIT: Sorry oldgit, I seem to have got my wires (or eyes) a bit crossed when reading the previous page!

The supposedly ‘private’ data is to be shared with all 27 EU member states and any/all private companies that those governments wish to share it with, as seen here and this[/url] site explains all about it and breaks down the reasons the government gives for what is a blatant breach of privacy laws and human rights legislation.

The census is nothing more than a method by which the government can gleam the information required in order to raise taxes further and cut benefits / public spending. They have the majority of this information on file already from the electoral roll, National Insurance database, DVLA etc. and they are just lazy funkers than can’t be bothered to collate it themselves.

Just cross out your address and write “No Contract – Return to sender” on it and post it back to them. I for one have not signed any contract with Lockheed Martin, or the government agreeing to provide them with my personal information, so they can p right off!

Giving ‘them’ a kicking would, unfortunately be classed at assault, ABH, or even manslaughter if they slipped and smashed their head off the floor/wall.

….And you wonder where the violence and thuggery really started?

    Accident Scam ?

On a more serious note…Would it not be your daughter that claims against the other driver? And the insurance companies/police should sort out who was in the right and who was wrong so have a little faith!

No idea I’m afraid. What I can tell you is when I had an alarm fitted to my car, it involved a load of wires (technical explanation) and so I’d be hesitant about messing around with it. Best thing would be to get an alarm fitter that works with Sigma alarms to come out and look at it, as you may be able to get a new remote fob but if not, it would need removing by someone that knows what they’re doing.

Out of interest, will the engine start with the alarm going off or does it immobilise it?

Started off with a couple of Erdingers at dinner time, moved on to a couple of Peronis for desert and am presently a quarter of the way through a bottle of Disaronno Amaretto and feel no need to stop just yet.

My name is bwoolymbr and I’m (nearly) an alcoholic.
