I always loved you only live twice, but I would say Casino Royale or something like Live and let die or moonraker

Is it wet down your way? Its pouring here and would not even consider riding today in flats…. Heels all the way! ;)

I'd definately check them out in person as I believe at £170 price point there will be some compromises made on spec / quality – if you can up your budget then it would be worth it, although I appreciate that he probably has a lot of growing to do (but a better bike will resell easier than a crock of shite).

Anyway, why does he want one? Rolling around town on? Doing some park / street riding? Because his mates have them or for racing?

Si – Unfortunately its doubtful I'm going to make this. Weather looks good so I'm expecting to be in FoD on the family trail having the time of my life!!! :)

Goz – it was filthy but fun!

CG – he sure does and really want to go back there to ride again – perfect place to learn :)

I used to be really unconfident riding corners at speed but it feels so good now even in the wet!!! I'm proper buzzing from it.

My thoughts are that an anchor and lock will take time to penetrate, if the thieves have an alarm going off as well it'll be like countdown with them needing to get out of there quickly – making it a much more difficult job to complete.

I've never heard of people alarming the places the bikes are kept and from a discussion I had with someone in the industry seems easy to do, just wondering if anyone does it and if not, why not?

Goog – Thanks. Problem is on shopping sites and manu's site they don't really give advice on how they perform or peoples experience of reliability etc. Nice handbag though!

Akira – Mainly trail riding with some occasional hard hits / DH lite. Looking for something that can be put at a lower travel for climbs but extended for descents – so something lightish weight but quite stiff – most likely with a Maxle. Going to go on a hardtail (hopefully a Cotic BFe).

Been looking at the Revs along with Talas, Wotans and Maz 66 and 55s (but these seems to be seriously heavy).

Wombat – Nothing better than a Nan kebab – had my first a few months ago in the early hours in Birmingham – well worth what I paid for it :)

What? A double whopper with extra lettuce? Surely not!

This puts a whole new twist on my favorite the "half pound garlic mayo cheese burger"!!!

How do they decide on the changes they want? Is it like going into a barbers and having loads of pics of people on the wall and saying "I want one of those please"

(For some reason thinking of asking for a "short back and sides" is making me piss myself uncontrollably)

CG – good to hear you enjoyed it. Like me, did you feel a big difference by the end of the session?

IMHO everyone would benefit from a Jedi session to review and improve the skills. I just can't stop thinking about what I learnt on Monday – it all makes sense and works.

I was shocked to find out recently that I know Banksy (although not seen him for about 8 years)

Will see if I can make it but will depend if it rains, if it does then I'm in (If not I'll be riding the family trail with the kids in FOD)

Cheers tony, my riding starting feeling really good by the end of the sesh and I'm soooo stoked I cleared all those drops by the end of the day!! :). In fact everyone was riding better IMHO

It all just made so much sense and that feeling got more intense as the day went on. My head is just buzzing with all the info and I can't wait to try it out.

I'd love to see the photos from the day

So will that burn muscle or fat? or a better question is how do I get the body to burn up the fat stores rather than the muscle?

    Bushwacked
    Free Member

So if I on average burn 2000cals per day with no riding, step in a ride of 1500cals, then can I eat my normal meals and a 1500cal beer and kebab session even if its is say an hour or two after the ride has finished?

This sounds like a really daft basic question – What happens if I don't eat the extra 1500cals (Kebab or not)?

NZCol – With you there – Was gonna say Whakawerawera but couldn't think of one favorite bit as its all so good. Perhaps the best I have ridden in the world. (Closely followed by the Wanaka trails.)

    I can't decide – too much to choose from…

Bit I always love on my regular run is the little stretch from Daisybank road to the Scout hut on Leckhampton Hill – not too technical or difficult but something you can really speed down. Its just twisty, turny, droppy, rooty fun!!! :)

I'd go for bigger as they'll quickly grow into it. I got my daughter the 16 when she was 4 and it was slightly too big but soon was right size

I've heard about this but not had the chance to get out there and try it out. As someone above said I understand its a new entrance so that's probably why you've noticed – I've done the same too and wondered where that goes!

Backhander – I'm in a similar boat, want to progress my skills and also clear some of the DH runs in my area – love my current bike (Soul) but want something more for the hard hits.

However, before I do this I've got myself booked in on a skills course this Monday to learn the basics and improve my skills foundation so hopefully taking on these DH runs isn't just about the bike but about my ability too…
