Ended up watching Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (mate had lent it to me a few days earlier) – which wasn't that bad.

Gonna watch moon with my wife when she gets back.

Yeah – for the cost of a course compared to how much is spent on bike components and clothing I'd say the right course will improve your riding more than 10 times the money spent on bike bits

Hmmm…. Looks good but the idea of a film about someone on their own sounds a bit lame

Would love to ride my bike, but knackered from yesterday

What I meant about Moon was – I'm on my own today and if it is about loneliness I don't want to finish my day a gibbering wreck

Moon does look good but is it a film to watch while on you own?

I suppose it depends on how you view the trail. I look for stuff I can enjoy and pushes my comfort zone while enjoying my surroundings, where as I get the impression a few people are content with just enjoying the surrounding and getting some exercise.

As the Thai's would say "Same same but different" It's all good!

I'd love to see Jamie ride Corby!! That would make my day (especially if Webby was there too)

    Enjoy Scotland!

What's with the "levels"? Surely the session is based around the participants rather than the instructors (well at least the courses I've been on have been)

Was on a course with Tom recently – top bloke – and boy can he hit a jump fast and hard!!!

In my limited experience jumping and drops are all down to body weight management / distribution on the bike (plus some confidence / encouragement). Something that is great to learn whether you have your wheels off or on the ground – the balance I've gained from jumping is great for controlling wheel washouts, unintentional skids and all manner of other "adjustments" needed when riding.

Admittedly I've not done anything massive but loving it all the same.

Lyons – bad news! It did look a bit nasty when you did it :(

Most breaks take about 4-6 weeks to heal – I'd leave it for a few more weeks perhaps strap it up, if it still hurts get down B&Q

    All about education!

Educating bikers who don't currently respect the land to respect it

    and

educting people like this to understand that while we can all be pigeonholed together we are not all the same and on the whole the bad minority are more visible / remembered for what they do than the good majority. (Bit like saying all [insert random group] are going to be [insert negative association] given half the chance)

Funny as hell that there are still people out there than don't quite get the whole sterotyping based on a minorities actions doesn't quite work :)

Radiator is slowly getting very hot – but bottom 1/3 is quite cool compared to the top 1/3

If I do (2) above will this increase the flow to increase the time to heat the rad as it will hopefully get more of its fair share of heat as its not at the end of a long line of rads nicking the hot water.

Actually, I've turned all the rads off again and will see how hot it gets (will get the temp probe on it)

no, the old one used to get so hot I couldn't comfortably touch it but this one I can hug and it doesn't burn me. Although at the top and bottom it does get really hot – just in the middle it isn't hot.

Its one of these in 1800 x 600 double

Pete – yeah – bled all rads.

Paul – I turned all the others off and it got hot but not as not as the others get when they are hot…

    LOL @ Benjag! That's what's all about!!

Always remember IHN from here taking his rigid single speed Marin from the 1880's on the Cannock DH section and was funny as hell him standing next to the DH'ers in the queue!

Yeah, I'd love some Lyriks. Sounds really good> Just got to decide if I go for the same size as my Soul (with a shorter stem and no layback post) or a small frame for increased standover.

Gavin – it sounds like you're at where I wanna be!

I've got a Medium Soul and similar to what you said I'm starting to want something with more travel to cope with the downs better. Is the BFe very different to the Soul? is it more or similar fun to ride to the Soul? I'm worried getting it especially in medium (since it has the same geometry) I will find it too similar to the Soul and make me regret buying it.

What Fork you got on it?
