Mick – might take you up on that offer – will let you know probably tomorrow morning if that's OK.

I think its probably something to do with you retaining the bike after you are made redundant.

Hmmm… exiting the forest at Bewdley so have to think about how best to incorporate them…

Do you have a grid ref for the entrance to 3 bears so I can roughly mark it on the map?

Can 3 bears and or caravan be ridden either way?

Are the trails down by caravan park and 3 bears easy to find / follow?

When you say "or head down to the caravan park" is there anything worth riding down there and will this miss out "pepsi max"?

The route I have is going down Pepsi max and onto the old railway then out on Dry Mill Lane – unless thee is a better way out

LOL! Been on the phone already and strangely enough they wouldn't say.

They do a fitness test which carries out various Cardio-respiratory tests during exercise – Thinking about doing one this year and then perhaps in 3-5yrs time. Thinking of it as an insurance policy in my health.

Votchy – is this clockwise or anticlockwise running?

Would you sack the road riding off in my route and drive to Wyre just to do this?

Had a look at this site and I don't understand what makes them qualified to do this? How do you know this is valid theory put into practice? Yeah there are some links to further information but nothing which shows the proven benefits. Plus a lot of MTBing is done out of the saddle which totally alters the biomechanics

I'm not saying this to be a troll but more because I want to understand as if there is proven scientific value in it them I would be interested.

Reasonably confident but depends on what the "pepsi max" is

I think I'm gonna give it a miss thinking about it. What I really want isn't really scheme worthy and even though I'd save 50% I'd end up with a hotchpotch rather than what i really want.

Easy Bregante – I'm just regurgitating what I've read after some some research into this on other posts. Seems a hell of a lot worse goes on than I've suggested.

If you read my post correctly before getting on your high horse where I imagine you can't read the screen as well at that distance, my niggle is that I don't feel comfortable buying something which doesn't really fall under the scheme – ie. something which isn't for what it is designed, ie. I'm not comfortable commiting fraud.

Huskyboy64 – Was this through the Cycle2work scheme?

Just wondering but why you put the boardwalk in? why not just benchcut it?

Best to contact the cops even if they do nothing – if you took anything into your own hands having not spoken to them you'll be in more shit than if you do. Cover your ass!

Or turn up to pick the bike up, take the reg number of the car – then phone the police and tell them you saw the driver with a gun. They'll do something then.

No Fethers needed from Duks or draks!

Both up – one with the Gaffa method and the other using a 20" tube method… both with Stans. Gonna leave them overnight and see whats what in the morning.

I may even take them down to the petrol station for a bit of a pump up to 60PSI tomorrow.

BTW – I don't seem to be able to get them above 35psi for some reason with just my track pump – is this normal?

    🙂

Apologies – thought you meant an S-works full sus. However, I'm slightly biased as I am not convinced that a full sus is needed for UK trails. I personally tried the Full Sus for 2 years and went back to a HT as I enjoy it more. I didn't say I I didn't enjoy a Full-sus just I get more enjoyment from a HT.

In terms of comparing this to another HT, well its down to personal preference. I think that S-works are very niche and not to my liking (if I was going to chose a top end bike) but this I could buy if I had some spare cash and could justify it.

How easy is the gaffa tape method with Stans??!!!

Jesus christ if I'd done it yesterday I would have saved about 2 hours

Marcus – Yeah, I'm loving my riding at the moment – Brecon will be good. But I bet you are fitter than me 😉

Ho hum – Nice one dude – keep at it. I smoked about 40 a day for about 10 years and don't miss the effects at all – but occasionally would love a fag until I try one and realise I hate it.

Tracknicko – more enjoyment from a HT than a Fullsus – especially on 95% of the trails in the UK. 😉

contact the police now. They should advise you

May be worth having a mate unconnected with the area contact seller offering to buy it off ebay – they will probably prefer that – then get police to meet them to "buy" the bike. Just make sure it is definately your bike.

    Where was this BTW?

what is washing soap liquid? Like fairly liquid, Handwash or Persil liquid?

Just to add to that to…

Once you know what to correct and how to correct it, you just want to ride all the time 🙂

Now when I'm out all I'm thinking of is improving my riding, going faster and grinning harder 🙂 🙂

Interesting reading these comments since I posted up. Seems everyone has different views on what is better – I was thinking more about how to improve my bike handling and confidence when I posted originally.

People seem to fall into a few categories in terms of what makes their riding better:

    1. New bike bits
    2. Fitness
    3. Riding more
    4. Conditions (sunshine, mates, location)
    5. Skills

All totally right but for me focusing on the skills is the most important right now – once I have the physical and mental confidence the rest become so much more enjoyable. 🙂

    + 1 for a Jedi day

+ 3 for sunshine and mates (and some dry trails)
