I was just saying to my flat mates that it is worse now than it was last week, here in South Wales!

Why not buy an external/usb disk drive? It won’t cost much and it you will probably need one for something else at some point anyway.

+1 PP I hate working on cheap/old bikes with older style kit as there are so many specific tools. Crank extractors for square taper cranks were possible the worst tool especially when you consider how easy it was pull the threads out of the crankset if you were not careful.

I was recently in the same boat and narrowed my search down to the e13 LG1+ and the MRP g3 both work well. In the end I went for the MRP because I think it looks nicer and I haven’t been disappointed. However the taco and lower guide are all one piece on the MRP so if you break the taco it is more expensive to replace.

My SC Chameleon started life as an old Diamondback (cant remember the model) that I was given many years ago. Only the front spokes remain and the wheel is overdue a rebuild so they will be gone before the end of the year.

Should be fine, I have used English air in Wales for a couple of days and not died. But I’m moving there in a couple of weeks and thinking I might need to change mine for long term use.

I have used the non-black chili versions and the were pretty rubbish on anything remotely smooth, they lost traction on damp roads, they were pretty terrible on smooth rock and roots too. The tread pattern seems OK so I would imagine that the black chili versions would be pretty good as the BC compound grips much better on the smooth surfaces.

Forgot to mention that the buyer already knew my address. Possibly because I checked the buyer can collect box? I’m not sure but I will update this thread with the outcome.

He has replied and said that it is just to save me ebay fees. He also says that he has sent the money (first class recorded) so I guess I just have to wait and see whether anything turns up, and in the mean time get some bombers (big ones 66s at least) just in case!

He has a lot of feedback and all of it good, maybe I was a little quick to suspect foul play, thanks for putting my mind at ease.

Possibly just seems an odd way to do business to me. And as I keep hearing about ebay scams and how they are getting more imaginative I am just a bit wary.

When did you last top up or replace the sealant?

I thought that was the problem after puncturing once yesterday as there wasn’t much in there but I topped up last night and got another 3 today! So heat was the only thing I could think of.

Which begs the questions – what exactly is gravity i.e. what causes it?

Gravity is an attractive force which acts between objects with mass.
Its strength can be calculated using F=(GMm)/{4pi(r squared)}. But what causes it? AFAIK nobody knows, however with the recent discovery of the Higgs boson scientist are getting close.

Anyone know why the spokes are soldered together?

So all the connections and the power lead plug into the front? Or is the power button on the back? Either way it seems a little inconvenient for anyone who wants to use it rather than just look at it!

No valves!? What do you align the logos with to stop the wheels exploding?

I doubt there will be much difference if your going frame only. In fact I once compared the geometry of a mens frame and the womens specific version they were exactly the same!

There is a weight penalty and until Zee came out there was a large price penalty. Triples also give you the option to convert back to triple or double in future.

IMO the most important thing to consider when using a PC for this purpose would have to be noise. You want it be as quiet as possible so check reviews of all of the components to see what they say about how loud they are. You might also want to look at “silent” cases as they have some sound proofing and will reduce the noise heard.

I have a 560ti which does play newish games at highest settings very well but sometimes struggles with HD (1080p) gaming and it cannot run very new games eg. Assassins creed 3 and Far cry 3 on ultra settings. So still a strong card but if budget allows I would probably get something more up to date like the 660ti as it will usable for longer.

So essentially ditto what everyone else says.

I have never weed in anyone’s shoes.

Fill shoes with water and put in freezer over night,

But I have done this, needless to say I wasn’t too popular with the owner of the shoes for a while.
