    Thanks for the link, tempting……

Why another? N+1! where the +1 is not exactly the same.

I have an H2 in blue, NH35. Fancy the H3 GMT with the Sellita

Ebay saved search weirdness.Got myself a Hamtun Kraken a few years ago and been keeping an eye out for another. They appear rarely on the bay. So, saved search of ‘Hamtun watch’ added to help feed the ‘Watch’ List

Today results = 6,300 for my saved search, 2k if UK-only filter added,  23k if I type in the same for a new search

The second watch in the list is actually a Hamtun, a nice Nanok field watch with a Selita , can’t see any others

Search for ‘Hamtun automatic’ = 1, the Hamtun Nanok

All my other save searches work as expected. What gives?

+1 on Cougar’s comment aboveI gave up on a very ‘comfy’ gaming chair for the home office about a month into lockdown as it was killing my back

Went for a Noblechairs HERO Gaming Chair black edition.Looks much more office than gaming. Initially felt rock hard but for all-day comfort and support, sitting not slouching, excellent. I got the pu-hybrid one after reviews as cool in summer, wipe-clean, durable – all true – versus leather or cloth. Looks like new, or would if I dusted it…. Available for less now, amazingly, than then £425 I paid and suitable for the larger owner/pilot.

The matching footstool only comes in leather, think. Got one. nothing special.

Full-time WFH IT, lots of sitting

Would have come last if someone else hadn’t bailed out immediately! Enjoyed it though.

For those who haven’t checked all the settings the Board & Pieces option includes a 3D option right at the end of the list.

    Liking it.

    Looks great, playing on 4k

    Long, long stages

A few crashes and odd bugs such as losing the force feedback intermittently and handbrake sticking on in startline mode but mid stage.

Best rally sim yet?Not sure if enough content/variety to retain interest, not much in the daily/online offerings compared with DR2 and WRC-Gen. I’m not interested in an EA Game pass and shelling out every month.

Thanks, I may need to tone it down with a royal blue silicone – to match the second hand!

Doesn’t wear that big, only 1mm more than the Citizen here and way smaller than my big G-shock (orange) or Suunto Core

    It’s a doozy!

    The latest n+1.
Just arrived via Ebay Italy and made in Australia; the DUZU Ningaloo Reef.

    44mm 300m BGW9 Superluminova Sapphire Miyota 9015 42hr

Not sure about the leather strap, stiff as.. will see if it wears in. Anyone come across a stretchy zulu in 24mm?

Before you make any holes in the building beg/borrow a long enough – in and out of windows, whatever – ethernet cable to connect router and pc directly.

    Does it make any difference?

    @harry_the_spider

    Expand please?

You asked for a pepsi for a lowish 3 figures. I assumed something decent and recommended an eco-drive…. If you want a cheap watch for bike use the Casio is fine but lots better for your spec price

Do many people on here actually get sub-£1k watches serviced? Seiko Prospex and the like. Vintage and sentimental-value items obviously excepted.

Also, for automatics in a collection: if only work occasionally how much actual wear do they get? Lubricants may deteriorate but if the moving parts ain’t moving?

Another DUFA for the collection. Aalto Auto, steel Miyota Automatic with Power Reserve with Day, Date and Month, 40mm.  This is the white one though face looks a very pale grey, blue hands, black seconds. Same movement as that lovely green Spinnaker Boetger!

That Samsung XP941 was made in higher capacities, 256 and 512gb if you can find one. Released in 2014 though….

I’d be looking at forums to see if anyone else has done similar upgrades – possibly not that common for an AIO device. A Gen 3 ssd might work but the HP BIOS might just not recognise it at all or just see it as smaller than it is.

Just bought a 3-yr old Tucson for that budget myself…More for the practicality and need to chauffeur elderly parents about than the driving thrills

I like the Satnav for the advance hazard warnings but I guess there are Radio apps for Android? All new to me. The BBC Sounds app offers BBC main channels and works with Android Auto, apparently, might keep her happy. Any Android app recommendations?

No dear, if it says 79 the actual speed is 75.5. She has the 33 in a 30 fine, I don’t.

Still got the phone mount on the screen. I’m happy with Android Auto and Spotify+Waze/Maps/Co-pilot – with accurate current speed shown – but can’t use Radio at same time so end up with car satnav – no speed! – and radio plus phone speedo app.

    @gobuchul

Yes, I put that badly, display shows 73mph at an exact 70

Ignoring the tyres why can’t the speedo be linked to the GPS? The car turns it lights on and off on its own, dips the headlights, has collision protection so lots of electronic ‘awareness’

I set the cruise the same way, the missus struggles though

If you have a recent – google-blocked – Huawei device use the Gspace app which simulates a generic android phone and allows use of Gmail, etc.. I have a Huawei tablet, works fine, just a little extra work to run a few apps.

I had a pre-ban Huawei phone – it was excellent, still is, the wife has it now, another P20 Pro.  I’ve got a Xiaomi phone now, would recommend them; frequent updates.  Xiaomi, Oneplus, Oppo didn’t get the ban but why not? What’s the difference?

The Huawei ban is strictly political; Huawei technology for 5g was 2 years ahead of the US. Huawei wouldn’t include the back doors that the NSA and 5-eyes wanted and the likes of Citrix would.

Lots of those quality/security problems mentioned were years out of date and other manufacturers had exactly the same issues at the same times. Lots of common code libraries.

I had an LG V20 phone a couple of years ago with a Quad-dac, jack out of that was way better sound than Samsungs or iPhones. Probably the only thing the whole family agreed on music-wise!

    Hyundai Tucson? Anyone got one?

In similar position to OP and need transport suitable for elderly parents getting in and out.

They struggle with my current Mondeo. Seats ‘too low’ and highish sill.
