    ‘Nothing feels better than manualling’

    Agreed.

If your good at wheelies you might get there.

How about you pack up mountain biking and take up a
new hobby that won’t give you a ‘mental fear’ problem.

Tube TV’s still look better than flats.

Out of interest, the grading suites in a decent top end post prodution house
Is replacing its old and v expesive Sony tubes with pioneer kuro’s. They also
mentioned the new Panasonic viera as a good choice.

Could be following the fixie trend.

I went into Brick Lane bikes the other day and it looked like a sweet shop.

    Craig1975 speaks the truth.

NB. a proper bunnyhop is when the front wheel comes up followed by the back. Not at the same time.
The body positioning is the same for controlling a bike from take off to landing.

Pulling up on the bars should only be done when you need to generate more height to get to a landing.
Avoid this when you are learning. Stick to small tabletops that you can make the landing on

Jumping to flat landings look shit, make sure you always hit a trannie.

Does anyone actually line up the values and logos or is it just a STW running joke?

Might be selling a 17.5″ Curtis frame with a raw finish in the near future so watch this space….

    Wandsworth roundabout
    Legendary ride/skate spot.

The tunnel on the left was the location of the scene in Kubricks Clockwork Orange when they
give the singing tramp a bit of the old ‘ultra violence’.

    Big version:

    Thanks for the nice comments.

Will get some more shots this weekend. Weight wise I’m not sure but this builds around 29lbs.
If weight is a primary concern I would go for the Reynolds or Racelight T45 tubes option.

If your in the market for a new frame def consider spending a few more quid on a Curtis and supporting
a small UK frame maker. The bloke who answers the phone is the bloke who welds the tubes.

Plus for £100 they shot blast your frame and repaint it in a colour of your choice with
new decals so effectively you always have a new bike.

Spend a bit of time riding with 4x and BMX riders.
Learning to pump properly and ride smoothly teaches you to generate speed out of nowhere.

I disagree with the ride harder… fall more. Confidence is where its at.

They don’t get any love on here so I’m going to say a DMR Trailstar is a great bike for not much money £299.99.

Had various kids shout ‘sic’ as there are some nice manual-able road sections
that keep me entertained on my ride home.

Thats usually followed by ‘how much is you bike worth’

My mrs reckons that after 40min’s of cardo exercise you start burning fat.
So an hour is a good amount of time to workout for.

    ‘other peoples views’ ffs

    Stop trying to justify yourself.
You owe him a new wheel exactly the same as you broke.

I’m not suprised your friend is feeling ‘all awkward about it’ your putting him in a horrible position.

    As ever its personal preference.

The bigger the frame the less maneuverable it is on corners and in the air.
A low top tube and stand over height allows to get much lower and in my opinion thats more fun.

I’m 5’11 and my do it all frame is just over 16″ with a top tube length of 22.5″ – I have never really run a saddle super high and your muscles get used to it, when climbing my saddle can go up just above stem height no probs.

I agree that a fitted frame has its benefits but at the expense of fun on the downhill (the bits I’m interested in) its worth it.

In my experience anything over 17″ isn’t really ‘chuckable’

One high reading in isolation is does not necessarily mean you have high blood pressure.
Go back and get it checked regularly and see.

I had a high reading a while back and its back to normal now, blood pressure can fluctuate.
