    Welcome to London.

I have lived here for 14 years and still love it. London's what you make it – get out there and talk to people.
Its great to live in a cultural melting pot, you can make friends all over the world from living here.

A good way to meet up for some rides is through the aforementioned http://www.thetrax.co.uk

That Nicolai needs some 100mm forks.

MK is a town built for cars not people.

Good advice to live in a surrounding village as you can easily drive in on the grid.

Debz had no idea you were a brand man.

    Explain what's wrong with it?

    CK's

They may be overpriced but they make me happy.

Is that massive front tyre really hard work on a ride?
I'm guessing you run it at a very low pressure to soak up the bumps.

You mentioned 'dometic tension' further up the thread.
Out of interest how do you justify all these bikes to your other half?

    I'm struggling with 3 bikes!

    Pike 454
    Thomson post
    Thomson 4x stem
Chris King ISO hubs on Mavic 321
    Chris King Headset
    Saint brakes & levers
    Saint shifter
    XT Rear mech
    MRP Slalom 3
    Bel Air saddle
    Goodridge hoses

    What colour you going for?
Clear lacquer looks the nuts but is not as hard wearing as paint.

Sorry Hobo – it was out of character for me call people names on here, and apologies for not quoting in full.

I just felt it wouldn't do much in the way of cheering up the celibate thread!

I'd go for the original Joe Murray Cinder Cone with project 2 forks.
The first Mtb with the right geometry that lured me from my BMX.

My original had flecked paint graphics.

You serious about a Demo Jedi?

Complicated and over engineered I reckon.

I like the Charge brand and its bikes.

Evan's stock Charge – I wonder if that has made them not in vogue with the STW massive?

On a bike that gets ridden on street everyday it makes sense.
If it was purely for pointing down hill I'd agree.

To be fair I would have had it built around the XC frame but I wanted
the stronger tubes because I like to jump and ride off stuff.

    Its all XC anyway.

    Hi GlennG

Both the head angles are 71' which works for me, good for up and down.
I also had it built around a 130mm fork.

Curtis bikes are a dirty habit, one is never enough:

My favorite thing about them is their frame renewal service – I'm always thinking
about what colour to go for next.

I don't think you will have a good business model using the STW type as your target customer.

People that are really into there bikes and gear tend to know what they want, where to get it
cheaply, quickly, and fit it themselves. Its impossible to stock all things for all people.

I think you would do better looking to the growing commuter crowds who would take a new
rech mech, wheel or tyre at a good price and not care to much about the brand.

All depends on the stickers – I prefer stuff thats not bike related.
Quite like running long a thin stickers down the inside of the fork stantion like the aka one below.

Adam Buxton summed it up nicely on a recent show:

Its a search engine for opinion.

I had a first gen DJ a few years ago – beautifully made and well thought out frame.

On Yeti DJ's L is long and S is short – not small and large.

If you liked your friends L then go with it. At 5'7 I would have said a shorter top tube
would be better for you though.

I have a couple of Curtis's but I get in trouble when I post them 🙂

T45 is quite unique – don't think anyone else uses it.

    5'11 and 16.2 inch frame. 22.5" TT

I don't run my post as high as most.
The bigger the frame the less fun for me.

I'd say this one just because of the column inches and speculation:

Isn't Maxle a fatter dimension than the Fox – ie do you need a new front hub?

You should still have the power to easily lock the back wheel with 160 discs.

    Try some new pads.
