Disagree with comments relating to carbon rims – I’m around 85kg and have dinged and dented a ton of alloy rims including Hope and dt swiss to the extent that they no longer work tubeless which is basically a new rim for me.

Had a set of carbons and not had any issue.

How tough are the side walls / casing on the toughest Vittoria tyres compared to say an WTB Tough or Maxxis DD?

I’ve got a set of 27.5” 2020 Ultimate in Boxxer Red if anyone is interested.

Just waiting on a warranty replacement frame which has forced me to go 29” hence the sale.

I’ve got a set of the e bike pads in my E4’s (only ones available during lockdown!) – they make an horrific sound – in both dry and wet conditions.

They were bedded in correctly on a new rotor and the brake is setup properly.

I’ve just ordered a set of Uber sintered instead as I’ve never had a problem with them or the race matrix compound before.

No we’re still in a form of lockdown with a 5 mile travel allowance as guidance – 6th July is the date for free travel within and to / from Wales.

cheers everyone struggling to find one in stock will keep looking

I ordered mine from 18bikes who seemed to have good stock – worth speaking to them? It came with the end cap. You need the end cap as the bearings in the microspline are 2mm further inboard than XD and original Shimano freehubs.

But if you’re using hopes boost conversion kit theres no endcap available for MS yet

There is a work around – you need to use the existing end cap (not the one which comes with the microspline) and add a 2mm spacer which Hope can provide.

Not considered Sram Force AXS and Eagle?

Forgot to add that I had the ‘firmware service unavailable’ on Friday but have today updated so seems to be working my end.

I suspect it will work with other devices, probably in a similar way…the sensor is ANT+ so isn’t Garmin specific…

I works with Wahoo Elemnt Bolt and its associated app aswell – I’ve got the Red AXS setup on mine. You view the number of shifts and gear ratios through the Wahoo app.

    Very interesting stuff.

Don’t know why some people are moaning about the new rules introduced. The basic idea of the current lockdown is to stay at home – simple.

We’re lucky we’ve been given rules to allow appropriate exercise.

I’ve got a set of 38 Black Edition – been spot on for over a year and 6k miles.

Just upgrading to Sram AXS Red and need an XDR freehub. If they are novatec hubs does anyone know where I can get an XDR freehub as the prime version is always sold out?

I’d hazard a guess it’s probably coming from the upper link. If the washers and dust seals are dry they creak against the swing arm and top tube interface.

Put a light smear of grease on the outside of the washers/dust seals.

I’ve had one for a few weeks now.

Purchased from Mojo with Sam helping me out a lot by taking my calls and answering a lot of my questions. The tune they set it up with wasn’t far off, I had to add two more clicks of rebound damping and one less high speed compression damping for my local riding so I’d say they know how to set it up pretty well.

Had around 5 rides on it now, feels amazing in comparison to the Super Deluxe which came on my Bronson V3. Not much a surprise I suppose considering its a £1k shock. Build quality is second to none. And you can really feel the difference when changing the damping by a click or two.

If you can afford it its a no brainer in my opinion.

Try a frog 40 for size – my 2 year 9month old boy is on one and pedalling it.

Smallest inside leg bike I could find available in the U.K.

Mine was 2 years 5 months when he started on a wiggins balance bike. Soon wanted pedals so he had a Frog 40 for Christmas ‘19 and was fully pedalling it within 3 days at 2 years 9 months.

Impressive what balance bikes can do for them. Gives them so much confidence.

And how exactly is that the owners fault unless we believe they’re signing the players and ignoring multiple managers choices ?

I think that’s the understanding from the outside isn’t it? Someone at the club is taking decisions on purchasing players without a strategy for how the club want to play football, formations etc. Alexis Sanchez as one example – never a Utd player under the manager at the time – I could go on.

Appointing OGS was a crazy decision – the worst manager of the four North West Premier League teams by some margin.

Completely agree – just hope they don’t fire him anytime soon.

Not sure i agree, Utd have spent plenty, just bought bad players with it.

Scary the amount of money they have spent since they last won the league and then have the cheek to moan about their injuries.

As a Liverpool fan I couldn’t care less – their fans are now resorting to talking about ‘history’ just like Liverpool fans had been doing over the years (and get ridiculed for it!). Power has massively shifted over the last few years.

However the club, from a football point of view, is being run awfully; and I love it :)

Thanks for the suggestions – in terms of the geo perhaps that’s why there aren’t many around. The Cleary one looks perfect and the Cnoc 14” small might fit but I’m not massively into the looks of it 😬

What’s wrong wit the Specialized Hotrock? Our two learned on one.

I’m not a fan of the coaster brake feature.

I say the above in jest :)

I had one of the later Yeti SB66’s with a rear carbon end – never had an issue with it. The SI system at the time played ball and didn’t need much maintenance but I do think their SI system in general is abit overkill for what it actually provides if I’m honest.

No experience of the newer Yeti’s as I jumped ship to SC after the SB66. I’d not go back to Yeti, don’t really see the appeal vs a SC IMO.

    SB165 is £3799.

Just wait for a Ubyk 20% off offer and it’ll be more appealing ;)

Best for years isn’t the same as best in memory. But, I can’t think of a tour in the last 10 years that has had as many genuine contenders, there’s a week to go and there’s still a handful of riders who could realistically win

Just goes to show what some good doping can do

Trailboss or vigilante sounding like a potential option then. Noting the tight to get on the rim comment is that likely to be a drama with the 2.4 onto a 30mm internal DT Swiss Xm481 rim?

My vig and trailboss go onto a set of Nextie 30mm ID rims fine.

    buenfoxa

As a local to those, I’d go for a vigilante over a trailboss to be honest – tough casing in either fast or high grip. Though incidentally if you need a trailboss tough fast rolling I’ve got one a brand new which you are welcome to collect en route to CYB.

I use a product called Kingud Protect – somehow masks the marks on my carbon rims really well. Works well on the frame too.

    Am I being unreasonable here?

    Massively unreasonable.

You decided to have children and you should have known that your life would change in terms of having your own child to look after and what does to your social life and relationship. Grandparents shouldn’t be seen a babysitting service – they have their own lives which they can enjoy without having children and probably have more money than when they had children.

Both of my child’s grandparents are a stones throw away from us but I can count on one hand the amount of times they have babysat – if they don’t offer we don’t ask.

They do have an issue with someone doing pull ups with a full view into their living room or bedroom.

And under planning law they have no right to a ‘view’ unless development creates significant amenity issues. Like someone said earlier a road footpath is in front of most people’s homes as it is.

Just think there are people are going to food banks and these people are concerned about some free fitness equipment being placed near their homes. No wonder the country is on its arse with people like this around.
