    @noeffsgiven

    Are yours 27.5?

My 29 have the green decals, which shouldn’t be a problem for me as they’re going on a moss green Big Wig, but i’m not normally one for colour coding stuff so I’ll probably change them

My Lyrik Ultimate 29 arrived this morning. They have green decals

Where do people recommend for new decals?

I’ve bought the Lyrik Ultimate 29 160mm and will need to lower the travel to 140mm or 150mm. £350 with next day delivery is a bargain.

But why is it so hard to work out which air shaft to buy? There seems to be 3 options, one is red and grey, one is red and black, and (I think a Debonair plus) is gold 🤷‍♂️

I think I’ll wait until they arrive and just take out the air shaft to see what it looks like before ordering another

Duncan that is awesome, but I done have room for anything like that unfortunately

Is Halfords Advanced stuff still as good as people used to say? That 6 drawer cabinet looks ideal

Cheers for all the advice guys. I reckon I’ll probably end up with a Joe Blow after your positive reviews.

I bought a Topeak digital pressure gauge today and it turns out I have to relearn everything I’ve known about tyre pressures over the last 10+ years…my tired old Lezyne floor drive is 10-15psi out! 😂

I assumed Joe Blow was the default answer but I’ve since read a few unfavourable reviews. I’ve had a Lezyne for the last 10 years which has been fine but has needed the o-rings replaced a couple times.

Looks great for the MTB and gravel bikes up to 40psi, but I do find the coloured guides a bit Fisher-Price

I talked myself out of it a week or so ago, but the extra 10% off this weekend has made me relapse. I think the credit card is safe

10% off this weekend means a Ragley Blue Pig or Big Wig for £1088! 😱

My outdated 2016 Spesh Enduro still works for me but I am so tempted with a Blue Pig for the updated geo, wider rims and 12 speed.

I worry that my fond memories of my Cotic Soul 10 years ago may be overriding the reality of my 40 year old body now though

For £1200 I’m very tempted to update myself from my 2016 Specialized Enduro 27.5

These prices seem ridiculous. The Blue Pig caught my eye originally, I have never ridden a 29er but that Big Wig looks Blimin’ lovely!

Cheers for all the replies. I don’t think I’m brave enough to try a DE razor just yet. I’ve gone for a Gilettelabs thing today as it was on offer in Sainsburys. And I’ll start to shave AFTER a shower rather than before.

I’ve come from a Skullshaver but the blades only last 2-3 months with shaving 3 times a week, and that gets very expensive

I know that I used to see people mention them on here all the time a few years ago when they seemed to be the latest thing, but I never really took any notice so don’t know anything about them.

The offer is 2 for £50 but after doing a bit of research it appears that they aren’t rated as a front tyre so it seems a pointless offer for me

I’ve nothing to compare it to, but I’m getting on well with my Osprey Seral 7 that I bought a few weeks ago following advice on here.

And under £50 with a bladder makes it an absolute bargain IMO

What size are you? Interested in a pair of hardly used Shimano XC5 in 42?

Any good GPX of Cadair Idris?

We are hoping to just tick some classic trail centres off the list, so only really planned on marked trails.

Just general trail riding for this trip, I’ve done Antur before and loved it but not really in the agenda for this time.

I’ll look into Cadair Idris. We’re happy to use CyB as a base and drive anywhere worth going within an hour in any direction I suppose

Thanks guys, we’re going to try and look into the recommendations and book something tonight.

Any recommendations for anywhere else to ride once we’ve completed CyB?

How about Exeter again then? Haldon, East Dartmoor and Woodbury on your doorstep, and Exmoor and Quantocks an hour away. The family will love The coast from Dawlish Warren all the way along to Dorset

I picked up a Osprey Seral 7 today, it’s a really nice bit of kit. The Camelbak Repack LR4 was very tempting but it just made sense for me to go for the larger pack when I’m coming from a 9lt Camelbak Lobo

    Cheers for the help guys

    Or the Camelbak LR4…

After doing some more thinking, and checking out all the above recommendations, I’ve realised that I really want a bladder for hydration. I suppose i just want to replace my Camelback Lobo backpack for something off the shoulders to feel more free.

So the Osprey Seral 7 for £53 at Go Outdoors seems like a bargain

The Osprey ones include a bladder, which I think makes them good value. I’m very pleased with mine. Just be sure to upgrade the hose magnet to a proper clip.

Which model do you have? The Seral 4 or 7?

Cheers for all the help so far guys. The 661 Raji look great for £8 but I can’t live with the available colours. Looks like Giro DND can be had for £13.50+postage so I may give them a try, cheers

Not exactly the cheapest option, but I finally changed from backpack to a Carradice SQR Slim last year and haven’t looked back
