I’ve been spending lots of time there recently with work, and think its a great place. Went to see Another Place last weekend and was blown away.

The skipper on one of our vessels was telling me Liverpool docks is the second busiest in Europe which seems hard to believe until you realise just how much is going on in there.

The place looked stunning last week.

I know we’ve covered this a trillion times but the poor lane discipline in this country gets my goat. I reckon the M8’s the worst, but the M6 south of the Thelwall Viaduct in the morning is a close second.

I once saw a Police Range Rover undertake a load of folk slowly with the rear electronic sign in the window saying “move left, use correct lane discipline” but that was about 5 years ago.

The new engine is only a few more (184), but is much cleaner and seems to pull better.

The current 520d is a gem, but the last shape was a bit underpowered so may have been ragged a bit. That said, it probably did 99% of its 90k under little stress on the motorway with some middle-manager/rep at the wheel.

I know this is a 3 thread, but the economy on old 520d was BRUTAL with bikes on the roof. Less than 40mpg at any sort of motorway speed. BMW bars bolted direct to roof excellent though.
