Hi all, will try and get info out tonight. I’ve got a very tight window so if you are interested please send a CV back ASAP (like 24 hours).

    Thanks

I’m no expert, but it doesn’t sound like constructive dismissal to me, unless she leaves before she is pushed.

I would also say that the comments above all depend entirely on how professional her employer is, and how careful they have been. It’s very easy to get the process wrong, and it’s easy to get an Employment Tribunal interested where the balance generally leans towards the Employee. Of course to do this you have to leave first (constructive dismissal) or get dismissed (made redundant).

The question is what would she hope to achieve if she won, as they don’t sound like people she would want to continue working for even if she could (although I appreciate there’s not a lot of choice out there just now).

I’m a bit biased, but I’d agree on the Ed30 front. Not much in it performance wise as the R32 is a heavy machine, although it does sound absolutely amazing.

Ed30 slightly, but not much, cheaper to run.

I’d imagine a few more train loads of coal have just been ordered in advance of this thread repeating itself yet again getting going in the morning.

Sorry to further hijack, but while we’re on the subject of electricity I’m after offshore wind turbine technicians. Rarely available off the shelf so industrial electricians, mechanical engineers/technicians, etc, all considered.

North Wales based but some flexible contracts available for those that live further afield.

    Tough but incredible watching.

Was chatting to one of the lads at Orange about it recently, they just didn’t sell unfortunately. It’s probably not an everyday bike in the UK (though mine is), and as the UK’s presumably their biggest market the Five took the sales by the looks of things. IMO.

mboy, I just find the amount you’ve written on the subjects across the two threads a bit strange. You’ve made a lot of assumptions in the process as well, but they aren’t worth losing sleep over, so we’ll agree to disagree and both drive/ride off in to the sunset.

    “Route 2
    Step 1) work hard
Step 2) get a job that offers a company car”

This one for me. Contrary to popular perception I don’t spend my time rolling about in £100 notes in the Llandegla car park, it came with my job. I also pay BIK tax on it, and as a result picked one with a nice efficient engine. Apparently that’s not allowed either.

mboy seems to be on a one-man crusade to berate Audi drivers on the Internet (especially if they ride an Orange). They are decent cars, which makes them popular, which means a percentage are driven by idiots, which means in his book we are all idiots.

If mboy can just let me know what to replace it with so I stop being “obnoxious” I’ll run along to the dealer…

“I also suggested the should install a cable car uplift from the Tower Colliery over the lake and up to the top of the skyline and a series of trails down to the Colliery too…but I can’t see that happening…still – I tried”

Not as far-fetched as you’d think. There are always local community investment clauses tied in to the contracts. With a bit of effort I’m sure some of that could come mountain biking’s way (maybe not quite as far as a gondola right enough). On the big sites it’s serious money.

Everyone was still camping under the gondola last year despite the claims it wasn’t going to be allowed, so I reckon you’ll be fine. Piscine in the town centre for washing…I mean swimming.

What happened mboy, we’re you bullied by an Orange 5 at school or something?

It’s a funny old world. Really don’t get why they (Orange) attract such a polarised opinion.

Personally I think they are a bit expensive, and a bit crude; however I think they’ve got plenty of character and I’ve had my current one, and the one before for a good few years now, so I don’t consider them bad value. I’ve had great service from Halifax as well.

It might be worth making sure the mods have seen this thread; they’ll need to upgrade the servers before Tuesday morning when everyone’s back “working”.

Either that or they could just close it and link to the 10 pager a month or so ago.

My 5 Series (F10) handled like a car half it’s size and weight. Great car.

As others have said, H&S is often used by poor managers/advisers as an excuse to support their own ideas and defend their poor decisions; these are then rich pickings for the tabloids and some STWers.

The truth is, if you work in a potentially dangerous industry like construction, many of these rules and processes however awkward and daft seeming, have prevented injury and health problems. The statistics prove that.

The company “covering their arse” line gets wheeled out a lot as well, and while I don’t doubt that’s many people’s prime motivation; in my case I don’t want to see people I work with hurt or worse.

The situation in the OPs initial post seemed absolutely ridiculous mind…

I think he has a fair point as well Stevomcd; but it’s not one that will ever be considered with his approach IMO.

Seosamhh77, there was a time when I was quite in to football, and Celtic in particular. Patter like yours is exactly why I could no longer give a toss. What possible positive outcome do you foresee from your line of argument? No one outside Glasgow cares (especially on a cycling forum), and anyone that did care (or was indifferent), now doesn’t as a result of your painful repetition.

    Good stuff Mattoutandabout.

I was beginning to get seriously concerned this was going to run to page 2 without a “and that’s why I don’t go to trail centres” or similar post. Yossarian was close, but yours was the purer version.

MartynS – is it the same story/performance a couple of times a day, or various scenes spread over the weekend? Stumbled across it by chance today, but want to go back tomorrow with the missus and see it properly.

    Cheers
