If it’s the batteries in Diablo that are getting tired exposure will fit new ones, think it was £35 ish.

Fuel, vehicle running costs, tools, PPE, phone, mostly, it’s just that from what I can see and I’m a bit of a thicko with numbers, what I have to pay looks like I have had nothing deducted for any of this. I am goin to phone HMRC before I phone my accountant but am just trying to find out a bit.

Been going to Turkey for years to Marmaris which is not to far along the coast so all the same terrain, and have done a lot of running in the hills which would be great for mountain biking. Unfortunately any hire bikes I have found are shite and would fall to bits if you dropped off a kerb. Thinking about taking one of my own bikes this year.

I think that after 10 or 20 year can’t remember which, that if you have fenced of land and been looking after it and no one has complained, it becomes your land legally. Well in Scotland anyway.

I’ve had 2 forerunners and they were good but a little bulky so when the last one died I went for a Suunto Ambit which I find to be better but I don’t know what the new gar mins are like.

I think balance bikes are a waste of money, just get a small bike take the pedals and stabilisers of and put the seat right down. Both my boys did this and managed to ride quickly.

I stayed of the bike for 2 weeks just to be safe. Had no problems, no pain after the opp at all. I did have black and blue nuts for a few days though.

It’s a free app but you need to buy a wahoo or elite dongle at about £55, once you have the app and dongle you can create a route from anywhere in the world, type start wherever and finish wherever and it goes and finds all the elevation and distance details and adjust the resistance accordingly. Also you can follow yourself on satellite images on the road. The my real video lets you stick your phone on a bracket on your bike, film a route then upload and do the route on a tv or laptop, although this doesn’t work on Arion yet but I asked elite and it will be in an update soon.

I tried turbo and rollers before I decided and I didn’t like the turbo but as I had a broken arm at the time it was all I could use. I bought Elite Arion digital rollers and with the my e training app on the ipad it takes the boredom out of it as if you are on a route you know and with the resistance constantly changing I find the time passes quicker. There is also an update coming for The real video app so it will work on Arion.

I treated the water with what I was told to by the shop and let it sit a couple of days before getting the fish.
I mean the air pump , it also has a separate filter. They are cold water fish. I have been reading elsewhere some people saying that you don’t need air pumps if the filter is moving the water around.

I put the saddle up about 10 mm, had a 5 minute spin and got of to go ask the wife to film my arse ” strange look she gave me” as I was getting of my hip clicked and and it’s been a lot better since then, it might all be a coincidence.
As for off bike training I do something every day, running, concept 2 rowing machine.

I am just going to have a go, will try adjusting the seat up a bit first. I have been using local courses on the my training app on ipad so it’s basically hills, heavy resistance from the start. I have also started having a wee spin for a few minutes before I start at it hard.

Will try adjusting the seat. The old numbness is a strange sensation indeed.
    Cheers.

I use salomon speed cross off road and find they have a good grip but with a wider footprint than fell shoes which I found very unstable.

Lost KOM the other day, 1 of my mates took it. The best he could get was nearly 2 minutes slower than me so he waited until it was windy on Friday 49 mph tail wind got some one else to do it with him and beat my time. Dick, however he only took it by 11 seconds with all his cheating so I am going to enjoy taking it back.
