DS and axle all one piece, I’m using an XT BB.
LBS has given me a spare bolt but although it has the same thread the head is slightly different from my original meaning the dust/self-extractor cap won’t go on, so it’s only a temporary bodge.

The Wiggle one is identical to this one from Planet X, bar it having different brand stickers.
Planet X one is only £39.99.

    SOLD OUT

I, like you, was previously dismissive of others puny attempts to inflate tubeless when I had never had any issues.

Until I did. I’m sure I will meet my tyre Nemesis eventually, until then bring it on! 😈

Never failed to inflate any tubeless with my cheap 20 quid Airace track pump, you just have to put the effort in and pump hard and fast.

That’s like saying you can only have one pint!
However, out of SC Superlight, ti 456 Mk1, Inbred singlespeed, Stanton Sherpa, Kinesis XC Pro 2 and Look KG361, I’d keep the 456 (cos it’s ti!).but swap for a ti Sherpa if I could.

Got my fork back from its service yesterday and the feckers have removed the crown race I had left on…….how do I get a new one?

Swat cc is just an extra chunk of metal adding weight to my bike when I can stow a better multi tool in my pocket with no hassle.
Fork cork is better but as Frogstomp pointed out there are cheaper improv options. I’ve never considered storing things there so will look in to it.

Alright Stu, considered a Stanton Sherpa? SS dropouts are an option.

That’s what I’m riding and it works really well as a singlespeed. I also have an Inbred 26er ss

So if I send it away, which servicer gets your vote?…

TF £99 service or £159 to be “push tuned” (i’ve read the blurb but still don’t quite get it)
    Evans £50 (not inc bushings)
    Mojo £89

Most of the original crew have since “grown up” and do boring things not involving bikes
*wonders when I’ll grow up, Bruce aged 52 yrs and 5 months

Likewise lol, Bruce aged 52 yrs and 3 months!.

I have a Sherpa and love it, not ridden a Solaris. Rumour has it Stanton will launch a 29+ Sherpa.

The Sherpa frame is actually 145. Designed that way to flex either in or out by 3mm to 142 or 148.

edd – tell me more about that 141 QR boost – I didn’t quite follow what you were saying. And who makes/where can I get it?

    Cheers.

Stanton Sherpa. Dan will apparently soon be selling his own Stanton rigid forks. Here’s his prototype 29 plus which he had at Cannock last week.

    Stay at The Queens[/url]

There is one pub in the village of Glyncorrwg, more of a club / meeting rooms really with a bar in the basement , looks dodgy but very friendly. They will order food in and even provide plates and cutlery. Highly recommended.

I parked at the Ramblers Retreat and headed up the valley. The path started well but quickly became narrow and overgrown. Once at the top there were lots of options for downhill, some looking pretty treacherous. I then just went off exploring. I struggled to find a pub that did food, nothing in Kingsley or Kingsley Holt and ended up at the Railway in Frogall, which was very nice, though I think I was the only customer. The couple of pints of “Nemesis” smoothed out the route back which included getting my feet wet at a river crossing and a great many nettles along the banks of the Churnet. Here’s my route: https://www.relive.cc/view/1061040266

Thanks Bacondoublechee I’ll look up Diimmingsdale on Strava as you suggest.

A gpx would be great, cheers jekkyl. Not sure about Splash landings though, a fifty-something male alone in a tub at kids water park could be a bit dodgy, I’d look like a right perv.

The queue jump idea is tempting josh but I really fancy a day out on the bike and my daughter would never forgive me if she thought I was stalking her.

Cannock is a good shout tomhoward I’ll keep that as a backup.

Went to look for you and have taken the drive side crank off but can’t see how to get central puller component out of the spider. It certainly doesn’t drop out is just spins round.

Had a Sherpa since the start of the year and absolutely love it. I raided mostly XC and have it set up singlespeed.

There is a version of Boost that uses QR. The only folk I know using it are Marin and Alpkit. But it’ll not fit in a 135mm-wide frame.

My SS is a Sherpa, so 145. Dan says boost will fit. I’ll check those two out SR, cheers.

Also, to add, 3″ tyres on scrapers and double chain set needs to be boost. Otherwise you get chain hitting tyre on two lowest gears

Think a single should be alright though.

Another reason to ride singlespeed to add to the next time I’m asked 😉

I’ve just seen these on the PX site http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/WBWTSCEGMB/wtb-scraper-i40-275-rims-on-el-guapo-mojave-rs-boost-hubs

I think the Sherpa will take boost with new swap outs but I might loose the singlespeed option. 🙁
