Some interesting points about the exploitative nature of women used in cycle advertising.

    Another good read is this[/url]

Looks like there is a lip around the rear window like on my Arosa

Here is the link to the thule fitting kit since it will be pretty similar at least where the clamp is (select the pdf user manual).

Im looking forward to it, im not really into road races but i do make the effort for Le Tour. Im thinking ill ride the 30 odd miles from Peterborough to Cambridge on the day and may even get some others along.

Try this, there are a few variants of this type of stand but it does mean you only attach the stand to the bike when needed

If they’ve got a lot of money then good for them, chances are they have had to work hard to get where they are but that also means they have spent less time out on there bike, but if they are passionate about cycling who am i to begrudge them the best gear they can afford?

New stock continental inner tubes have a Step shouldered knurled stem ring that will locate a presta valve centrally in a schreader hole.
Not sure if that description makes sense .

It makes perfect sense schwable have been doing the same thing with their presta tubes for years.

Simple and indestructible you say? How about http://www.kronan.com/sv/cykel/kronan-herrcykel-brun i saw these bikes based on a swedish military design at our Helsingborg site on the swedish coast and they seemed to stand up well to the rigours of being loan bikes.

£50 is about its worth i wouldn’t be fooled by usual halfords yoyo pricing policies, its not particularly robust so i would recommend viewing it in person to decide if its right for you.

When ever anyone asks “What multi-tool for….” the answer is always Leatherman, accept no substitutes or imitations.

Back on topic though i cant believe you did that, when i think of some of the months i have spent in pain with ingrowing toenails lol

Couldn’t you just source a couple of BMX wheels running cup and cone, install a longer axel offset to one side and cap off the shallow side with a dome headed bolt?

Those type of boot racks are okay as long as they are secured correctly and the instructions are fully read unfortunately you don’t who has fitted them so i never follow them that closely if im in the car.

Peterborough, edge of the fens so pretty flat. I spend my time between my rigid 29er single speed and a my carbon forked 29er 1×9 scandal (to emphasise how flat it is the scandal runs a 38t up front!)

I think its a pretty good idea but you would probably see a lot less shops with stock in that you can see or touch and moving over to just essentials and last minute items small spares, tubes and lubes etc.

Hora just pull your finger out and sign it, have a moan if you want but what have you got to lose? its hardly a great effort it probably took you longer to complain. No one says its the solution or there will be an overnight change but its a step in the right direction.

SRAM 9.0 SL hubs with the rarer still disc brake adapters. I imported them a few years after production from Germany and have never seen another pair in use.

I will gladly pay “Road Tax” Mikey as VED under the current guidelines based on emissions, when can i expect my rebate?

The reality is a cycling nation is of benefit to everyone, less cars on the roads means less spent on road maintenance and building. Healthier populace takes pressure off the NHS etc.

Okay updates. Fitting was simple enough as you can imagine, i used a fine tooth hacksaw to cut down the steerer (32tpi as i recall) using an old stem as a guide and used a file and fine sand paper to even it up.

So today first shake down ride, i was very conscious they were there not least because the front end was so light but i guess thats something i will get used to. Hard to say more until ive put some more serious milage on them.

    Any questions?
