I will concur with Jamie where the good road riding is, but there is a fair amount you can link together with bridleways for mountain biking nothing really exciting. I would try going out with the local mountain biking group on a thursday evening. Facebook group[/url]

Try Pentewan its right on the coast and there is a great (if unchallenging) off road cycle route leading from there to St Austell and other places http://www.pentewansands.com/caravan-and-camping-motorhomes/ Oh and here is a view from there after riding down said route Linky

Look at the SRAM duomatic, a 2 speed automatic hub with a coaster brake.

I used to use titec carbon car ends and always found them a nice feel in my hands i see there are quite a lot of modern copies of this now.

I tried the cane creek ergos but found the hand position a bit odd for me and i never really took to them.

It says “Don’t Patronise Us” which seemed a bit erudite for graffiti.

I grabbed a Jobsworth stand from the planet x site a while back, its quite obviously a knock off of a Park ts-2 so as you would expect its been rather good if a little agricultural in places.

With everything your going though it sounds like your dealing with a lot of stress and very probably depressed, phone in sick see your doctor and get signed off. This will give you some breathing space weeks or even months if you need it. I prescribe riding your bike everyday, all those endorphins will do you the wonder of good and set to work proper job hunting, you will be suprised how quick you can find a new job when your job is finding a job.

Sound like grey imports to me, your forks would originally been destined to go on a bike makes fully built bike as original equipment as such they would have come in a large box full of other forks and no fancy packaging since they were only going to the factory.

Always loved the RX7 shape, IMHO they just don’t look right without a spoiler. Id say look at something a bit more subtle like a lip spoiler.

Do it, the worst that can happen is they say no, if they do fill out the paperwork with the ombudsman and if it really comes to it you can still go with a claim company. You don’t sign over your rights to make a claim when they say no. It couldn’t be easier to do it yourself, tescos even had a special helpline for me to call they did all my paperwork for me.

Seat Arosa or VW Lupo 1,639 mm, models with side airbags got a 4 star euro ncap rating, 2 diesel models available 1.7 sdi (non turbo) or 1.4tdi big enough for a tall lad like me at 6’1″ with space to spare. The bad the back is miserley its a both wheels off job I’m afraid but it will take a roof rack easily.

Im fully convinced about the cargo bike thing now so very probably Larry vs Harry in Lime green/lizard king spec running Deore 1×10

This is rather nifty, a production version of some of the on the bike bodges above and much cheaper than a full Jig.

    Pocket wheel tool

The wheel pro jig is nice but for someone who lacks the tools and woodworking skills like myself it wasn’t really an option.

We flew into Calgary hired a car then borrowed my second cousins RV we then did a sort of loose convoy with the car leading the way. We drove through the rockies making a number of stops including Banff and then on to Kelowna via upper arrow lake, it was slow but worth it you get to see so much, now for us family commitments to visit relations forced us to go back via grand forks then to Lethbridge but had it been an option we would have much rather pushed on to Vancouver and flying back from there.

Wondered what was happening with mine, because it had been a while and this thread reminded me. Tescos tell me they sent a letter on the 6th with an offer which i never received so they are sending another recorded this time, it just goes to show well over 12 years and still a successful claim.

SRAM X9 2004 pre-production here, still going strong. I strip and re-grease it once a year and its still on all its original parts.

BSO = Bike Shaped Object, the derogatory catch all term the bike industry uses for supermarket bikes.

It pains me to say this but yes the Halfords Carrera will give you the most for your money, never pay full price though they are always on offer and the prices are artificially kept high so they can be discounted.

I dont envy the Scots on this one, on the one hand they have been historically marginalised )but the same can be said of anyone north of north of Northampton) and want more power. On the other hand they would be putting that power in the hands of Salmond….

Nothing really bad with novatec produced hubs since novatec make hubs for any number of OEM bike brands and in some markets under there own brands. My last pair of SRAM hubs were made by novatec and last 10 years, given how long my last hubs lasted and the fact i was working to a budget i thought i would go for novatecs again. I picked up a pair from an Australian ebay shop, they were lighter better specced and cheaper than superstar hubs, i was very impressed.

The forces are just a microcosm of society there are good and bad elements, there are young boozy men just like you’ll find in town centres across the land.

When they are not at war they can be peacekeeping for the UN, helping with civil disaster, training, exercising, maintaining and cleaning.

Bruise Willis, essentially Sam sets a funding goal, in order to reach the goal people like yourself will pledge money in return for a frame the pledges are usually a cost price or lower than usual than you would usually pay. Sam will only receive the money if he hits his funding goal at which point Sam places his order with the supplier and once the frames land you’ll be the first to receive the new frame.

A great example is the previous Puffin kickstarter

Thanks towzer i had never thought of the dial a ride, had a quick look and really the standard bus service suits my needs anyway. Car Clubs would be ideal, unfortunately there are none in Peterborough but ive put in requests with zip car etc. Ive done the whole month without the car thing in fact in the summer ive done 3 months without the car and not missed it.

Thank you Sue that was a very enlightening input and yours is very close to what my circumstances would be, i hadn’t thought about illness or injury so thank you thats something to take into consideration. Would you mind sharing more those trips you had difficulty with?

Lived in Dilton Marsh for 2 years (between frome and warminster) very duelling banjos but a quick drive to warminster or frome and its own train station (really more of a platform, dont try to flag down the express)

The imminently practical MinUte for me, you can easily wind it up to 20mph on the flat and all the while the ride remains very civilised.

I rocked some these year round on my commuter, they worked well in hard pack and wet conditions but weren’t much cop in thick mud as you would probably expect.

Second Knog Milkman, really unobtrusive to keep in my camelbak, really wouldn’t want to leave it any great deal of time though since its not particularly strong.

Its Guys casual attitude that carries through all the episodes, its quite hard for the program makers to ‘build danger’ when Guy is so nonchalant about it all, watching him you have no doubt he will succeed.

Have you seen this great interview?
