    I’m also starting a weight loss regime I’m aiming for 4 stone by the end of the year, a few years ago wasn’t there a Stw fat club? Maybe we can resurrect the name with a new thread so we can all join you something like Fat club 2016?

    I suppose these sort of establishments have planning issues in towns do they find it any easier in the hinterland of the motorway system?

    IMO he has not given sufficient proof that bombing in Syria is either justified or will be effective and just doing some hand waving at the big boogy man that is isis is not enough. Will you hit only genuine targets? how will you prevent civilian casualties what happens afterwards? After all the stuff we went through in Iraq we should know better by now.

    Mk1 Toyota Yaris 1.0L quite a peppy little thing but the early ones had a dangerous lack of ABS which i found out to my cost with 2 accidents the 2nd of which was a write off.

    I’ve got relations in Alberta and BC most came over in the 70s with my great uncle. My other great uncle went over more recently and got his visa and citizenship because he was an artist (wood carving) although he’s retired.They live on the border with the US and pop over every month for cheaper shopping they also have a PO box in the US for cheaper postage from US online stores.

    Wonderful place to visit we borrowed a second cousins RV and crossed the Rockies via Banff, beautiful country and the scale is hard to wrap your head around.

    Loads of stuff left at the Peterborough Hampton store but then it only opened yesterday. Picked up a premium rear light and it is indeed bright can’t imagine it lasting long because of the poor waterproofing.

    Little tip if you cancel they usually offer 3 months at a reduced rate and if your on the entertainment pass the catch up doesn’t cover everything on those channels but most things are available on the Live TV option.

    Some interesting options to look at here, thanks. I had a mk1 parabellum so that’s tempting to me.

    I’ve been running the dh-3d32 for about 12 months now and despite the weight it’s been faultless, I’ve certainly not noticed any issues with the seals and I’ve used it daily regardless of whether because its on my commuter.

    The boost thing is a bit annoying, boost is becoming more widely available, I know theres XT hubs in 148 in the new range and I know Novatec have got some in there range soon so probably won’t be long until they are available branded as superstar.

    The hubs quite low for wattage you need to be looking at 3w, I’d look at rose bikes the prices are a lot better and they have a wider selection, I have the same front light you are looking at there, the senso feature is a bit of a gimmick and not really worth paying extra for. Rose had the senso on offer so I got it for the Same price as the normal one.

    I’m a ‘member’ of the Peterborough Mountain bike riders, its a really inclusive club with no formal membership, we have a regular ride on Thursday nights with social, intermediate and fast groups meeting at the Boltoph arms pub. Rides are take in a mixture of cycle paths, bridleways, trails and quiet roads and are between 14-20ish miles then back to the pub. The Facebook group has over 400 members and the regular rides attract 40+ members but we have events so people will arrange a day at a trail centre or race teams for events like MM, but members will also use the group to arrange last minute local rides of a handful of riders.

    I had a 98 reg, no rust but the red paint was continually fading the engine (1.8 na) was bomb proof and never needed any serious cash spending on it apart from the cambelt which because its a longtitudaly mounted engine needs the front clip removing with special tools. The suspension was another matter complicated and expensive so make sure the suspension arms have been done recently.

    This reminds me of my bike shop days where the phrase “I’m an engineer was usually the prelude to seeing some inventively ruined bike that needed fixing.

    Lol Matt my first single speed was a kona fire mountain I resprayed white with gold fleck which didn’t really show up so it was just white to most people lol. I think those type of paint effects need a large surface area

    Yes I like the duck egg blue but my new single speed will be that colour.

    Any ideas for a “fuselage” (probably fabric stretched over a wooden frame) and a theme welcome….

    Well just from what your saying have you thought about some type of bi-plane theme, rectangular chassis truncated wings.

    <trivia alert>

    1) the actress who played the mechanic (Kayleigh?) – Jewel Staite – is also in later episodes of Stargate Atlantis

    2) in the Battlestar Galactica pilot/film, when Laura Roslin (sp?) is waiting for her cancer diagnosis, the camera pans up to the skylight. There’s a Firefly class ship coming in to land

    <trivia alert>

    3) The anti aircraft weapon Mal uses in the pilot is manufactured by weyland-yutani the morally ambiguous mega corporation from the Aliens films. If you pay close attention when Mal looks though the heads-up-display you can see the logo in the top centre.
