My Macbook case cracked (in all fairness it was 4 years old and out of warrenty) i called apple they had a quick conflab then told me i could send it back to them or take it one of there service partners. I decided on the later option as it was 20 mins away when i got there they took a quick look then said it would take up to a week to get the new case you can leave it with us or we will call you when it comes in and you can bring it back to be done which would take a couple of hours true to there word it did take about a week and then they swapped it over in a couple of hours.

Fast forward 9 months the cable on my charger melted at the magsafe connector called up apple (please bear in mind still not under warranty) no problem sir we will pop it in the post and it will arrive tomorrow and true to there word it did.

Nothing but good things to say about them im afraid, but if i was you i would want to know what NFU are up to, a logic board is often quite expensive plus labor why arnt they just replacing whole thing?

Okay so here are my observations having worked and shopped in various bike shops over the years.

    1. Pimpery is all very good but dont forget the basics, loose bearing nuts bolts that type of thing, as i recall i think Raleigh sell a good starter set for trade, these parts can be used on all types of bikes right from the bso up to the most niche of bikes.

    2. Remember that bike repairs are one of the highest profit margin of anything else you do and that doenst include the parts that go with them. Dont turn your nose up at BSO's perhaps even offer a christmas assembly service at a set price.

    3. 9-5 Forget it, you wont see many shoppers before 10 or even 11 most week days and youll see many more after 5 after they finish work.

Ive found my Rebas feel a fair bit stiffer than my sids then that said my sids are a good 5 years older than my rebas. Both running standard QRs

Thats cheap promotion for a company like Renault getting a product on a high rating tv show. Rip Ross we hardly knew ye, cant help think some of the other tests might be livened up by a sarky celeb in the boot.

Please note, this product was previously on sale at

    * £199.99 between 07/09/09 and 12/10/09 inclusive

Seems like reasonable value, but I despair at this ^^. So it was only on sale at a price that no shopper who had done their homework would pay, for five whole weeks. That is not what I really call a proper '50% off' sale. Just like those apollos which are alway 'half price' too then?

Sorry but its standard practice in the uk and perfectly legal but the sad fact is that most people in this country don't like to part with there money unless they feel like they're getting an offer.

Yep get promoting them to the websites first, with Christmas coming up it would a shame to wait for the mags.

If i was doing it i would try and make them stand out whether that was different packaging or beer or sweets, dont forget they get sent silly amounts of kit to test/review (the scrounging gits).

Decent enough but look at the price not the offer, the 50% off bollocks has been rolled out for years.

On advising me about reversing back into a space "dont be a c**t take the shunt"
So when i reversed in at the wrong angle at the end of my test those words ringing in my ears i stayed calm pulled forward and straightened it up.

Im with Davy on this one i wouldn't have liked to have been on that jury, from the small amount of evidence we have seen in the media i wouldn't have thought that there was sufficient evidence either way.

Cant recommend the Topeak Joe Blow Sport highly enough, strong and all metal construction with the exception of the solid abs and rubber handle. Mine has seen years of faultless service.

Cant really add much more to what others have said, dont take it too seriously and have fun. When you reload make sure your hopper is closed properly.

I always thought it would be a potential business to offer consultation and sourcing of bikes for public sector use, i cant imagine its much fun having to be forced to pootle round on an ill fitting apollo all day that would break if you mounted a kerb on it. Surely the police need the right tools for the job when theyre looking for motorway patrol vehicles they dont pop down to suzuki and pick up a few altos now do they.

Ditto what SV says, i ran a front mech for years mounted on top of the bottle boss, you could get a bottom swing mech or run it with a single ring up front otherwise.

Ditto the remaining anonymous, most of the hedonistic man whoring crap ive got up to in the past no body would quite rightly be bothered about normally but with a few mil in my pocket id be a target for every tabloid hack looking for an easy story.

Well i got a response from the importer this morning.

This is correct we have decided not to do the 2010 29er's as we still have very good stock on the 2009 models.

It seems the 20er market has leveled off, and everybody who wants big wheels is going for the Haro Beasley (650B wheel size).

    Sorry we could not help.

We do have stock of the Mary SS 2009 in Carolina Blue.

Well from experience with my own companies products: Whirlpool arnt that reliable and there customer service is deplorable, we have now taken on Electrolux and in the 3 months we have been selling them they have proved to be reliable and the one occasion a product has gone wrong they were fast to respond and quick to rectify. To put it into context we have sold a couple of thousand units in the 3 months we have been selling electrolux.

Fair play to them though they did very well considering the little experience they had.
