I’ve got a Bosch athlet as some others, it was cheap (£70 amazon daily deal) works great, much better than the dyson my parents use however definitely not as flexible.

I have a Kona MinUte which has a much more upright seating position full guards and rack, a very civilised way to commute and haul stuff but it’s not a match on a proper Dutch bike. I’m going to replace it with a Dutch bike so I can go to a proper enclosed chain (to keep my clothes clean) and a low maintenance hub gear.

Surely it’s bin time and you get a new one. Though if you were true disciples you’d be replacing the phone every time a new one comes out anyway so I suppose you never run into battery issues

Still have 6 months to go on the contract, still it could be worse it could be exploding issues instead. ;)

Mines a 6, internet chatter seems to indicate there may be an issue with these too but Apple haven’t admitted it yet.

Thanks for the great advice all, I thought it was definitely dodgy because it would suddenly drop drastically at random points and has even on occasion restarted itself but I put a battery checker app on it as wysiwyg just said and yes it confirmed the battery is bad only a 700mha capacity of a 1850 design capacity! From the sound of it not that difficult with the right tools and time but might only be a bit more expensive to get it done.

IKEA Sofas are made all over Europe some even right here in the UK. I had an Ektorp for 8 years and there was still plenty of life left it when I changed it for something different.

Considering Luke’s meant to be the bright hope of the Jedi, he’s not doing a great job IMHO allowing the dark side arise whilst he grows a beard and no doubt bakes artisan bread on Craggy Island.

    Brilliant!

Thanks a lot both of you that’s a really good start, plenty to go on there.

I don’t think the overtakes were overly contrived. Official gt4 laptime :7.40. Official clubsport s : 7.49, less than 2% quicker. I’ve driven on the ring a good few times in different cars, but probably not as well versed as the average driver there, that said I’d expect sabine to be a lot more than 9 seconds ahead of me in a similar car.

Indeed the other cars are undoubtedly quick but to go fast on the ring means experience and that doesn’t come with a big bank balance. I liked that part, Rory and Sabine looked like they were having fun. The DB11 spot was great even with the tired bond comparison the chemistry seems to be coming together with Chris and Matt but it’s still a way to go. The studio part is still the weakest link and probably needs another rework but I like the fact all three presenters are on the couches which is something that always bothered me about the old series.

Love my Fabia Estate, small but huge inside space and really useful roof rails, look for the full pensioner spec elegance and you should get one in your price range with limited mileage and a few creature comforts.

I ran a pair of Chinese import ones for 2 years a few years ago. At 16st I’m no lightweight either but they never let me down. That said I did my reasearch and only purchased from a reputable source.

I have the rockbros spur copy and it’s good on my commuter bike I think it would be a bit too quite approaching at speed on my mountain bike. If as others have said the genuine ones are much louder then perhaps worth the money.
I’ve just taken my second Oi bell off my bike, utter rubbish, quiet and poorly made however good looking and unobtrusive they may be.
Interesting comments on the Timber bell I was thinking of one but was concerned about those sections of my local rides take me on tarmaced shared paths and it might not be heard.

I ride a Kona Minute, nice big rear deck and load capacity. Great for work and shops still quite small and nimble.

Yep not the most thrilling but now is the time, it’s packed weekends in the summer. I usually ride it once a year for nostalgia.

Seconded on wakerley it’s a nice little blue route.

I wonder if the mag would give me a high res copy of a pic, or if they charge to offer that service at all?

Perhaps not the mag but if you look in the mag for the photographers name then google them to get contact details, they may not be able to provide the exact photo but could probably sell you another from the same series or have similar work.

The first one I remember properly was an MG Montego in Black. There was a Corolla and an UNO before that but I don’t have any memory of them.

Yes and both times it didn’t work, the first time I had move the press around the headset. The second time it went in skew and wouldn’t budge. I got one of these and while basic it was a treat and worked just as it should. http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/TOJWHSP/jobsworth-headset-frame-cup-press-(also-bb-press)

Hayley Atwell, bloody ace as Agent Carter and rumour is the show she’s on now isn’t getting a second series. Plus she’s shown an interest in the role.

Another vote for Kelowna, visit a vineyard it’s more interesting than you think. We stayed at a campsite right on the lake shore, stunning views.

Most cars over there are huge, I got 2 bikes in the boot of a Chevy impala (saloon) with the wheels off, there was still plenty of space in the boot and all five seats were free.

Like Jambalaya, I stayed at the American hotel in Garmisch in the 90s stunning scenery and far warmer than you would expect in the summer. I recall taking a cable car up a mountain and walking down which was not too strenuous and the start/finish was within walking distance of the town.

I reckon I could fit my 29er in the back of my monte estate but instead I’ve gone for whispbars and a Thule 598 roof carrier.

It’s quite good, went with the family in Stamford, not as patriotic as you think. Pack a good picnic, good booze and enjoy the music fireworks and other effects.

Likewise zarges, can also be had on army surplus from Germany as long as you don’t mind green or are prepared to repaint

Thule make roofbars and boxes for most manufacturers including Mercedes.

A few years ago they purchased karrite so they would have a cheaper brand to recycle their old molds with a slightly simpler spec (one sided opening instead of 2 that sort of thing). Halfords sell them under the Exodus brand.

    Bridge over the river Kwai
    Where Eagles Dare
Dr Strangelove (it is totally a war movie)
    Rambo first blood
The Eagle has landed (although the book is better)
    Operation Crossbow
    The Dirty Dozen
Etc etc, I could go on

I am surprised they went to a choppy lake for the second attempt, there’s at least 2 sheltered rowing lakes within an hour of Lincoln.

Lupo has already been mentioned but I’ll say seat arosa (facelift) you’ll get lower miles for your money and they are more or less the same. They are based on a shortened polo chassis, plenty of space in the front for a 6 footer like me and they were 4 star euro ncap rated back in the day.

Interesting and scary program fascinating the disposal work they are still doing there makes you wonder what’s still hanging around undisturbed!

I remember the queen very awkwardly singing along to auld lang syne on the telly. And it was in a bond film too! Never went until it was the O2 to see Peter Kay.

Racks, trailer etc are all separate there is also a nifty pannier bag that converts to a rucksack, it’s a 2 speed automatic rear hub. The frame has a 25 year warranty due in part to the fact it’s been double lacquered to ensure durability. I believe British Standards only requires there be a brake on each wheel which this would comply with.

Most of the IKEA Extractor hoods can be switched between recirculated and vented if your going with vented yes it’s just ducting but be warned you can only go to 2 meters without a secondary fan. Charcoal filters are optional and only needed if your recirculating.

The IKEA appliances are made by Whirlpool and Electrolux and have been designed for a common design theme so you can buy handles for the doors and drawers that match those on the appliances.

Okay so I ordered these hubs from Australia, probably the same seller as yours. I didn’t have to pay important tax on them they took about a week to arrive. I think I have all the measurements I took somewhere so I will dig them out later today. What I would say though is spend a little extra to get the interchangeable axle versions I wish I had.
