A very thought provoking thread. My lbs closed four years ago which was a victim of lots of reasons mentioned here. Thankfully the young guy managed to find other employment also bike related to support his young family. Again this has been a good read.

I had this done in 1978 well before key hole surgery. Knee area has always felt kind of numb! Since early 2000’s have now developed arthritis. Something to look forward to!

Now it’s just sat there waiting. Today’s excuse is reasonable, I’m brewing beer, kitchen smells ace. Can’t even see what it’s like out all steamed up. 🙄

Op been doing the same for a while now far better than the road just like road cycling have you ever seen either smiling. As for socks I find you can’t beat sealskins, feet warm and dry and easier to clean no ingrained muck under nails or in cracks much better. Not heard that phrase for a long time, in my youth early teens that had totally different meaning!

Gobuchul the brew was/is clear in the bottle no finings if I add them next time will it clear all of the bottle contents. Same question to John drummer I also siphon to second container for priming only because I don’t know another way of easily adding priming solution. This batch is only my second extract attempt, very pleased with results and taste.

Linking in to post consuming extract proper job at the mo, finings when do you add them, how much, what happens. Do they actually clear all of the brew, even that last 20 mills in bottle?

Nice post that from devash all those points about my home town, friend of mine moved this way from Lincoln for all those reasons. Cant add anything regarding being a single thirty something moving here but I’m sure there are some.
