    stavely head fell to kentmere, garburn pass to troutbeck. ambleside via jenkins crag, through rothay park and up loughrig fell. down to skelwith bridge then up into iron keld. through old slate mine to little langdale then on to elterwater. road up to top of loughrig terrace. down loughrig terrace and on to ambleside. then garburn again but the other way. kentmere to stavely via stavely head fell again = knackered but v v happy !!

    Its v unlikely that its a nipple. That would be noticed during the build. More likely its the crush plate, they can come loose after the wheel is built.

    I LIKE GISBURN. OK, ITS NOT THE MOST ‘FLOWY’ AND THE DOWNHILLS ARENT VERY LONG… BUT.. ITS A GREAT PLACE TO DEVELOP YOUR FITNESS AND TECHNIQUE. THERE ARE SOME SECTIONS THAT NEEDED AND HAVE BEEN MAINTANED BUT ITS THE BITS THAT HAVE BEEN DAMAGED OR ERODED THAT I LIKE THE MOST. THERE ARE SOME FAIRLY TESTING SECTIONS IF YOU HIT THEM PAST ENOUGH. IT CANT BE EASY TO CATER FOR EVERYBODY AND DONT FORGET THAT GIZ IS A RELITAVELY YOUNG ‘CENTRE’. TO SAY THAT THE WORK DONE THERE HAS BEEN LARGELY ON A PART TIME BASIS I THINK THE PROGRESS IS GREAT. KEEP IT UP GUYS YOURE ON THE RIGHT TRACK :D

    DID YOU REMEMBER TO PUT THE SPACER ONTO THE AXLE BEFORE YOU PUT THE FREEHUB BACK ON ? IF SO, IS THERE ANY PLAY WHEN THE WHEEL IS IN THE BIKE ?

    Im sure that cycleways like this will get more bums on bikes and that can only be a good thing, though Im not sure that ‘improvement’ is the right word. There are loads of tracks in that area (claife) and if the more skilled riders start to get a bit ‘cheekier’ then so be it, as long as no real damage is done. I must say though, there must have been a cheaper way to flatten that b’way, its not like it was in bad nick !

    slight error in my post… should read 6803 (x2) for the freehub,not 6802, sorry

    Brianblessed

    front = 6804 (x 2), rear 17×32 (x 2) in the hub body, and in the freehub.. 17×28 (x1), 6802 (x2).

    i think the top bearing is pretty standard ut the bottom one is their own design. it seems to fit quite deep into the head tube. just try it in there, you’ll figure it out :-)

    clean around the pistons and apply a drop of silicone lube around them, not too much tho, and make sure you push them back in squarely. clean off any excess silicone and fit pads…

    mate im gutted for you. thieves took 3 mtb’s from my garage in farnhill, total value @£8000, a year ago. the police were sympathetic but i remain dissappointed at their ineptitude at tracking them down. it seems to be so rife around here that i reckon they must be able to do more than they do (theyre pretty good at catching motorists though !!). the scrotes broke into my garage twice after they got the bikes first time around, after the repacements no doubt. maybe you could ask the police to rig up a tracker inside a bike, stick it in your shed, wait for it to be nicked when the scum come again and then go catch them ? thats if theyre not too busy in a layby somewhere !

    is the little rubber o-ring still in situ inside the nds spacer ? r.e green lip seal.. it shouldnt be toching the nds spacer as you look at it side on, there should be a tiny gap
    hope this helps
