Danton – some great pics in the FBI link.
The first 2 pics which ascent are they?
Oh and great vid of Gisburn slab, made me chuckle! 😉

Would agree with others suggesting DW descent well worth doing! Only problem is there are too many ace lines off Helvellyn.

Kielder itself has loads for you to go at.
    Give the website a check – http://www.visitkielder.com/play/adventure/mountain-biking

You do not want your rebound too fast, nor too slow.
Your rear wheel need to track.
Like others have said you need to set the shock to suit your weight first then play about from there.

What forks and shock are you on about and what make of bike?

You’re gonna loose some oil so I would just treat it as another oil change service.

Remove the preload cap and spring.
    Strip the lowers off.
Refit the cap and split ring which you forgot to fit initially.
Give the foam rings a soak in either float fluid or 10wt oil as Fox recommend now then refit.
Refit lowers to stanchions but don’t enter fully.
    Refit spring and preload cap.
Fill with required oil volume and weight.
Enter forks and tighten base nuts to required torque crush washers should be ok.

Think the above is right but no doubt if I’m wrong I will be told in the usual STW way!

They go in the bottom of the stanchion.
On my 40’s they are fitted to spring side, black cap fits in as it is sitting and spring clip is located in groove in stanchion bore.

Here goes and hopefully this will put a stop to the few that are worrying!

    Thank you for contacting easyJet

Bicycles are exempt from any excess baggage charges relating to the weight of the bicycle. If the hold baggage and bicycle weigh more than 32kg, passengers will not have to pay any excess baggage fee as long as the hold bag weighs no more than 20 kgs and the bicycle weighs no more than 32 kgs. The total weight of the baggage cannot exceed 50 kgs.

Also for hand baggage there is no weight restriction however there is a dimension restriction of 56x45x25cm.

The above is the reply I got!

Fair point but think a lot of forum members not just STW are quick to post without doing the necessary research to their question.

But again we are all possibly guilty of that! 😉

I guess it’s partly because they’ve changed the website and it’s harder to find (I knew exactly what I was looking for and still missed it in the sea of smallprint)

Maybe so but don’t you think it would be quicker to ask EJ customer services than posting the annual EJ baggage question and getting the same results? …. Confusion.

Don’t bb bearings only have 1 dust shield fitted anyway?
I would repack with grease and fit with shield out.

    What did they cost you?

Why does this topic crop up every year and we always get the same answer!

    Bike bag/box = 32kg
    Hold baggage = 20kg
Bike and hold baggage must not exceed 50kg

    Hand baggage = 5kg
I always carry my helmet as hand baggage, never hand a problem.

    Both are a joke.
They push all sellers to accept Paypal payments, which then increases money made.
Why don’t they offer discounted fees when using PP or better still free.

Also when transferring money or paying for items bough money taken is instant, but when depositing back to your bank account this takes upto 7 days. How does that work?

Would love to see what kind of money they are making?

Think you best read and stop panicking!

The Pléney gondola will be replaced with new lift equipment for winter 2013/14. This key new lift will provide improved capacity and better access to the winter ski area and for summer Mountain Biking in Morzine . Ground level access to the top and bottom lift stations will make for quicker access and ease of use.

As we await the opening of this new lift, and due to the scale of the works involved, the Pléney gondola will be closed for the 2013 summer season.

To ensure MTB activities, the local councils and the lift companies of Morzine-Avoriaz and Les Gets, will put in place the following solutions:

    · Early opening, from the 15th of June 2013, of the Super Morzine gondola and the “Zore” chairlift. From the 28th of June, an earlier opening time of 08:30am and a 50% increase in the flow-rate will ensure free-flowing traffic.
    · A bus service adapted for carrying Mountain Bikes will be run daily between the resorts of Morzine and Les Gets from the 28th of June to the 1st of September 2013 (dates inclusive). This bus service will be reserved for those with a Portes du Soleil lift pass.
    · The Mountain Bike tracks between the resorts of Morzine and Les Gets will be marked out, signposted and maintained.

Further steps are also being examined to safeguard Mountain Biking in the Pléney area, and improve the flow capacity of the lift links between Morzine and Les Gets, by way of the the “Crusaz” and “Mouilles” chairlifts. More information will follow on this subject as soon as possible.

    Reminder of lift opening dates:
    · Les Gets: Every weekend from the 25th of May and every day from the 15th of June to the
    8th of September 2013.
    · Morzine: Every day from the 15th of June to the 1st of September.
    · Portes du Soleil: The lift links will open for the Pass’Portes du Soleil VTT, on the 28th of June, and will run until the 1st of September 2013; allowing access to the 23 lifts open this summer and linking the 12 resorts of the Franco-Swiss area.

Everyone involved in the resorts of Morzine-Avoriaz and Les Gets is working tirelessly to make sure that Mountain Biking, which is vital to our local tourist economy, goes ahead this summer.

All other infrastructure in the resort of Morzine will run as normal for the summer 2013 season:
    · The “Crusaz” chairlift for pedestrians and summer toboggan.
    · The “Pointe de Nyon” chairlift for pedestrians.

Is your shifter a triple and not a double?

    bren2709

Yes I know what you mean but mine don’t water as bad as yours by the sounds of it.
I mentioned this to my optician and he said it was all to do with the eye being dry and this was its way of protecting the eye. He suggested wiping the eye lid from top to bottom to encourage the natural moisture between the lid and eyeball to form or buy eye drops.

No doubt this will get ripped to bits by other STW members but it is the info given to me.
    Hope this helps. 🙂

    Rob – glad your sorted!

Sbob – hourly rate all depends on the application, as stated the £25/hr was a rough guide for manual machining.

    Did you consider this –

If you say he’s making things for pennies don’t you think it could now be costing him money to manufacture your
    parts?

Machining usually costs in the region of £25/hr.

So the time it takes to regrind your brazed tip every time you loose the edge is not costing time?
Which in reality has a cost!
Rough out with an old tip then change for new edge for finishing cut, as easy as that!
    TPMR insert £3.50 approx

How many general or precision engineering workshops use brazed tip tools?…………. Not many I would say!

    Q. For OP… What application do you need your bushes for?

    bren2709
    Full Member

Yes will go along with HSS drills but you must use coolant and lots of!
As for brazed carbide tipped tools, we are in the 21st century not the dark ages! 😉
