After the chopper, grifter, burner etc, this was my dream ride 8)

After what seemed like a lifetime or paper rounds I finally talked my mum into letting me buy one from her Kays catalogue, think I paid for it over 2 years or somat at about 5 quid a week 😆

My wife owns a new shape Type R and I often use it on bike outings, the thing is like the tardis!!!!!

For a small car it has more rear space than my old BMW325 touring or A4 estate. I can get my road bike and XC bike in whole with the seats down (one at a time, not together) but I have to take my front wheel out my DH bike. Recently I was getting ready for a trip away and in the back fitted 2 bikes (both wheels out, 1 XC and 1 DH), a large DH cardboard bike box and my full DH kit bag.

As for reliability, we have only had one problem with it and that was the known gearbox syn issue, this was fixed under warranty within a day.

Nothing wrong with it being assembled in Britain if you ask me, a very happy user here 8)

I’m a huge fan of fixies even if I haven’t owned one for nearly 20 years 😥

This is almost the same as my old track bike I raced last in the 1988 National Track Championships at the old Leicester velodrome, although mine was a little bigger and blue 8)

Must must must get round to build that old bike again…..

Use to have a E46 325 and got around the 20mpg mark but got thirsty with a heavy right foot, quite quick mind and sounded lovely. As has already been said, for a large estate car I found the room in the back too small for carrying bikes. You could get one in with the front wheel out but it would be tight with 2 bikes plus you’d need all the wheels off. That said the back was still bigger than the A4 estate I had before the beemer, for some reason that was even smaller 😯

Great drive and liked the car but wouldn’t buy another for a bike carrier type vehicle, can get more in the back on my wifes Civic (no lie either!) 😮

    Transit’s the best idea 😆

I’m in Skåne, Southern Sweden, moved out here in October 2006 and don’t intend on moving back to Blighty.

Brilliant riding with only a handful of riders……..

Another vote here for the Park PCS-10, as long as weight isn’t a priority, I actually wanted a more heavy weight stand so this was perfect for me.

Do some Googleness and there’s lots of info, generally they are thought of highly. I use them quite a bit for general cardio stuff and find them very good.

Near Malaga, there is 5 of us as of today and we have space up to 10, more the merrier as far as I’m concerned as it only add for a better trip and riding.

Our group is more focused on the DH/Freeride bracket with the uplift service but I’m sure any capable rider would do just fine, similar to the Alps, just not as big and hopefully warmer/dryer 😆

Let me know what you find, in the same boat 🙄

All I can find is the X0 replacements on CRC.

I bought some off the dredded bay last year (.com that is), some e-shop (propably some guy selling out from his bedroom) had a load.

That said they were well priced and arrived very quickly, would buy again from them, very happy 😀

Depends what you like to ride, been a few post recently about Tenerife, if you are DH/Freeride orientated then you can’t go wrong HERE 8)

Just had an e-mail from them and they should have an English version of their site up shortly. Not been myself so can’t comment on how good it is from personal experience but the ‘word on the street’ seems favourable.

    Have fun 8)

Forget the fads, like has already been said, burn more calories than you eat. But that’s not always easy to put into practice unless you’re some kind of health guru. The following works, but you must stick to the rules, the hardest part was on a Sat night and not being able to pop open a cold bad boy 😮

This will take the fat off but longer term you need to better your normal intake or you’ll just put it all back on, you can’t diet forever 😉

    Good luck 😀

That’s a shame Rich, but good on ya for having a bloody good go. Put me down for 2 of the holders with pouches, I’ll just have to bodge my own.

Why don’t you get in touch with Deal-Extreme and sell them your concept at a small fee 💡

Thanks for the info but we are looking for an uplift service as well as good riding.

I’ve already dropped the bike park an e-mail and their website provides more info.

Just wondered if it was worth considering or whether we should just stick to Spain and Switch-Backs, even if it does cost more!?
